You’ll access your temporary dwelling, an annexe of your host’s property, through a shared wooden gate. Inside, the decor is bright and colourful for a welcoming look and feel. You’ll have a bright and welcoming kitchen/diner featuring elegant artwork, where a wood burner keeps you and your pets toasty on cooler nights. The kitchen is well-equipped for rustling up tasty meals and comes complete with a coffee machine to start your mornings right (just bring your favourite ground coffee). A large window overlooks the owner’s unused courtyard, and a small step leads to the lounge – a snug space with comfy seating and a desk for if anyone needs to deal with business matters. There’s also a handy downstairs shower room with a WC. Upstairs, two beautifully decorated bedrooms await: a king-size bed and a second that can be a twin or super-king. The stylish family bathroom includes a walk-in shower and a free-standing bath. When the sun’s out, relax with your canine friends on the sheltered patio and perhaps create a yummy BBQ for tea.
When it’s time to explore the area, head to Mawgan Porth Beach (2.5 miles) where dogs are welcome all year round. Carnewas and Bedruthan Steps (3.5 miles) serve up dramatic coastal scenery and again, a dog-friendly beach. The pretty village of St Mawgan (1.5 miles) is well worth a wander, and if your pet fancies a go on your surfboard, try out the waves at Watergate Bay (3.5 miles, also dog friendly. When it’s time for a meal, make your way to the harbour town of Padstow (9 miles), packed with fantastic seafood restaurants and dog-friendly restaurants.
