Look no further for a canine-compatible cottage in Lancashire’s handsome countryside. This pet-friendly retreat is utterly charming, featuring contemporary styling and light interiors throughout. The top-dog abode accommodates smaller packs, welcoming up to three guests and two dogs – ideal for couples, small families, and their darling doggos. Benefiting from an elevated layout, all the living spaces and bedrooms are located on the first floor, offering far-reaching views of the Lancashire countryside. Sit back and admire the scenery with man’s best friend lovingly by your side, planning the day’s walks and pet-appropriate activities.

Shake your tail and step inside, taking the stairs up to the first floor to discover the L-shaped, open-plan living area. With a lounge, kitchen and dining space, your four-pawed pal will love having their whole pack together in one cosy spot for evenings of relaxation. Open the French doors to step out onto the balcony when the sun shines. A second outdoor space awaits on the ground floor – an enclosed, furnished patio where pets can play while you BBQ and soak up the sun. Back inside, also on the first floor, a double and a single bedroom await dog-tired bodies at the end of each day. Completing the property is a refreshing, tiled shower room and a convenient parking space right outside.

Go mutts exploring Lancashire’s fantastic countryside and rich, captivating history with a long walk. Follow a route up to the top of Pendle Hill (4.5 miles), letting Fido lead the way while you delve into the ancient lore of the Pendle Witch Trials. Admire the pretty scenery in the market town of Clitheroe (9.5 miles), before wandering beyond the town and into the Forest of Bowland (12 miles) – a designated national landscape filled with heather moorlands, undulating valleys, and more sticks than Rover could ever dream of fetching.

The property was spotless, comfortable, and really well equipped, and the hosts went out of their way to make sure our stay was enjoyable not just for us but for our small dog as well. The views were lovely too, which made the whole stay even better.

Beautiful property immaculately clean. Excellent WIFI and smart Television. Great kitchen very well equipped very complexed oven (thankfully instructions available) Sofa's we found uncomfortable but I understand this is personal interpretation of levels regarding comfort. I would recommend willow bank lodge has it is very smart and well cared for. Read moreHost were approachable and friendly. Be aware there is building work going on below the property which can be heard... good views beyond though. "Reply from holidaycottages.co.uk - Thank you for your lovely review. Were delighted you found the lodge immaculately clean, well equipped, and well cared for, and that you enjoyed the WiFi, kitchen, and views. We appreciate your feedback regarding the sofas, and as you say, comfort is very personal. The building work mentioned is the construction of a new housing estate, located quite a way across a field and not directly next to the property. Whilst we appreciate some noise may carry, it should not cause any disruption." Hide
