Set tails wagging with long walks along the clifftop routes of the South West Coast Path, discovering the unrivalled beauty of the Jurassic Coast cliffs. Take a seafront stroll all the way to Weymouth (5 miles), admiring the beach hut-lined promenade and golden beaches that this seaside town has to offer. You’ll no doubt feel like top dog when unwinding in this grand holiday home, which boasts large rooms, feature fireplaces, and ornate pillars. The property comfortably hosts a pack of six or eight guests and one furry friend.
When you return from the beach, step inside and stop by the garage/utility area, a designated space with a dog wash to give sandy fur a good wipe down. Once clean and dry, let Rover trot into the kitchen/diner in search of their bowl before settling in the lounge. The living room offers a Smart TV and plenty of seating, allowing you to put your feet (and paws) up and rest those aching muscles. Let sleeping dogs lie as you head upstairs to bed, where you’ll find three sumptuous bedrooms and a family bathroom on the first floor. Outside, a garden room leads to a fully enclosed courtyard, providing a secure space for Fido to stretch their legs.
An undisturbed, rarely visited beach can be found just half a mile away. Osmington Mills Beach requires a bit of a scramble to get to but promises a quiet, rocky shoreline where your dog can play contentedly while you admire the incredible views. While exploring the South West Coast Path on your way to Weymouth, keep an eye out for the large chalk figure on the hillside. You can also stop at RSPB Lodmoor (3 miles) on your way into town, where you’ll find scenic saltmarshes and a variety of excellent birdlife.
