For four-pawed pals who love long walks on the beach, the pristine beauty of Dorset’s coastline offers a wonderful place to escape. Families with canine companions are welcome to take paws in the village of Burton Bradstock, staying in this country cottage just 1 mile from the village centre. Pop Rover on the lead and stroll down to Hive Beach (2 miles), a National Trust-maintained beach backed by the dramatic cliffs of the Jurassic Coast. This beach seamlessly blends with the impressive Chesil Beach, a true gem on Dorset’s coastline. All in all, this property invites six human guests and two furry friends to stay, allowing you to enjoy the splendour of the seaside with your whole pack.

Put your best paw forward and step inside this cosy stone cottage. Downstairs, a sociable, open-plan living area sits next to a twin bedroom and a shower room – plenty of space to spread out while your four-pawed pals settle in and get comfortable. Built for every season, the property offers a wood burner for cooler days and bi-fold doors leading out into the garden when the sun is shining. There’s room to roam in the large, enclosed garden, with lawn and patio space – top dog features for pets and people alike. Back inside, discover two king-size bedrooms and an additional bathroom upstairs. Private parking is available for two cars.

Set tails wagging with all kinds of excursions in Dorset’s national landscape, with endless days at the beach and adventures inland, too. On the edge of Bridport (4 miles), the beautiful Symondsbury Estate (5.5 miles) is one to go mutts for, with the stunning scenery of Colmers Hill to admire and resident farmyard animals worth spotting. End this day trip with a detour down to West Bay (3 miles).

Cobblers cottage was a cosy, comfortable cottage in a great location for walks and local attractions. The games room was fun and the owners incredibly helpful and available for any questions.

We had a really enjoyable stay in the cottage - warm and welcoming. Lovely accommodation - rooms, furniture and secure garden. Excellent walks from the doorstep to Burton Bradstock and the coast. Fabulous cottage in a wonderful location. Lovely fields for our grandsons to play on. They loved helping to fetch the eggs with the owner Very high standard of furnishings Plenty of equipment in the kitchen
