Discover the natural beauty of the Yorkshire Dales National Park with your happy hound at your heel. This delightful stone cottage at Langthwaite, 13 miles from Richmond, is the perfect place to relax between long dog walks and visits to beauty spots. Sleeping four people, the two-bedroom bolthole has a wood burner for warming chilly feet and paws after autumn and winter outings.
Dry damp fur and step into the cottage to unlace your walking boots and make your way inside. Light a fire in the wood burner, which is set into a stone chimney breast in the beamed lounge/diner, and watch your contented canine stretch out on the rug. Sink back into the deep, comfortable seating to watch the Smart TV or read your books. There is also a table in here where you can gather for meals or to play games. Call your hungry hound through to the kitchen when it is time to dish up his dinner. This space also features everything you will need to help you cater for yourselves using your own ingredients. Pat your paw-some pal goodnight then climb the stairs to the first floor of the cottage to lay your head on your pillow in either of the lovely bedrooms. The family shower room is also here. Wake up to take your delighted dog for a stroll beside Arkle Beck. Return to enjoy a cup of tea at the outside table. There is private parking for one car.
Pack a picnic and some puppy treats and head 2 miles to scenic Reeth with its fabulous footpaths, village green and beautiful views. Spend another afternoon visiting Richmond taking the Drummer Boy path to Easby Abbey along by the river Swale, stopping off on the way back for an ice cream and perusal around the Old Station.
