This Cornish getaway, just outside the village of St Columb Major, is 7 miles from the north coast. The lodge welcomes six guests and two canine companions and is perfect for families and groups of friends looking to explore all that North Cornwall has to offer, including its iconic sandy beaches and dramatic coast paths. Enjoy al fresco dining on the suntrap decked area.
The single-storey holiday home has an open-plan layout, with a spacious lounge/kitchen/diner at its heart. The bright space boasts high ceilings and a colourful collection of soft furnishings and accessories. You’ll find ample space to set up the dog beds, and the hard flooring makes it easy to deal with sandy pawprints. Prepare delicious dinners for the group in the kitchen area and gather at the table by the window to enjoy mealtimes whilst admiring the rural views. After dinner, sink into one of the comfortable sofas to watch the Smart TV. The property has three beautifully decorated bedrooms, one of which has an en-suite shower room. Completing the layout is a refreshing family bathroom. Outside, the enclosed area has a lawn where the pups can play and a sunny, furnished patio with a BBQ for al fresco dining. There is private parking available for three cars.
Journey to Padstow (7.5 miles) to wander amongst its cobbled streets and potter around the cute boutiques and gift shops. Refuel in one of the friendly pubs or cafes, or pack a picnic and stride out along the South West Coast Path to discover a secluded beach or hidden cove. The traffic-free Camel Trail also starts in the town – another great dog-walking spot. Nearby woof-welcoming attractions include Prideaux Place and the family favourite of Lappa Valley, and you can enjoy days out to Port Isaac, Looe, and Fowey from the lodge (all within 20 miles).
