This chocolate-box cottage enjoys a rural setting amongst the Shropshire Hills National Landscape, 1 mile from the quaint village of Wheathill. Sleeping ten guests and two hounds, the property suits families and friends seeking a luxurious base from which to explore the beautiful Shropshire landscape. There are numerous walking and cycling trails to explore directly from the front door, and the long-distance Shropshire Way passes nearby.

A stone cottage bursting with character, with fabulous original features, antique-style furniture, and far-reaching views. Leave boots and leads in the porch, before moving through to the delightful reception rooms. The first is a sociable space with banquet-style dining table and an array of seating around a wood burner. The second is a lounge, with a roaring wood burner, perfect for movie nights around the Smart TV. The farmhouse-style kitchen/diner has space for the hounds to set up camp, plus a breakfast table. Upstairs, the landing offers a cosy reading nook. From here, discover five beautifully styled bedrooms, four of which have en-suite shower rooms. A stunning family bathroom with a roll-top bath completes this level. One the double bedroom has a sloping ceiling, and you may experience restricted head height in some areas. Outside, dine alfresco on the suntrap patio with rural views whilst the children and dogs run around the lawn. Private parking is available for five cars.

Let Rover and Fido lead the way on an exhilarating hike from the cottage to the summit of Brown Clee (7 miles), which is the highest hill in Shropshire, where you’ll be rewarded with panoramic views across the landscape. Alternatively, take a relaxing waterside stroll along the banks of the River Teme. The medieval market town of Ludlow (8 miles) makes a lovely day out, with its fascinating architecture, wide choice of paw-friendly eateries, and busy calendar of events throughout the year.
