Lying close to the northern shore of the Firth of Forth, this inviting pet-friendly barn conversion has been beautifully updated to make a cheerful holiday cottage for couples and smaller families eager to explore the ancient Kingdom of Fife. Offering bright and spacious accommodation for four human and two canine guests, the airy, light and spacious single-level steading features a charming conservatory, a small pond and a large garden. Stylishly decorated and furnished, this traditional retreat is perfect for keen walkers, beach lovers and nature spotters exploring a stunning part of Central Scotland.

The hallway leads through to a cute and welcoming lounge with comfortable seating and a Smart TV. This leads through to a small but fully equipped galley-style kitchen with plenty of equipment, storage space and worktops. The sunny conservatory is an ideal spot for enjoying family meals together. When it’s time to turn in for the night, you will find two chic double bedrooms decorated in gentle relaxing shades. The first bedroom has a Smart TV, and the accommodation is rounded off with a refreshing shower room. From the conservatory, French doors lead out into the pretty garden, with a large lawn offering plenty of space for your pets to run about and play. The garden also features a delightful furnished patio with a pond, a swing set and peaceful views. Private off-road parking is available for two cars.

The property lies on the outskirts of the historic town of Dunfermline (3.5 miles) which has a range of independent shops, pubs and popular music venues. There are plenty of pet-welcoming locations nearby including Pittencrieff Park, Devilla Forest and Inchcolm Island, all within 12 miles. Heading along the northern coast of the firth, there are some lovely dog-friendly beaches including Aberdour, Burntisland and Pettycur, all within 15 miles.

Rose Cottage is ideally located as a base for exploring Fife and the surrounding area. The cottage itself is decorated and furnished to a high standard with large secure garden for enjoying a relaxing evening outside. Highly recommend and would love to return. We have stayed in Rose cottage before and have enjoyed it both times. Very clean and comfortable with every thing you would need. A gift basket was provided with lots of treats and the cottage was decorated for Easter and we thought that was a lovely touch. Very dog friendly with dog treats and blankets provided. A perfect cottage in a really good location and very peaceful and quiet. Spotlessly clean, well equipped and extremely comfortable. The shower is amazing, so refreshing after long days out beachcombing. The kitchen equipment was so easy to use which made a very refreshing change.

I recommend Rose Cottage for anyone visiting Scotland. The location was great for touring around. Close to tourist attractions and Edinburgh Airport. The cottage itself is so homey. Beautiful conservatory, patio table and chairs for anyone wanting to sit outside and enjoy the quiet tranquil countryside. We had a lovely stay in Rose Cottage its a lovely comfortable place to stay, very accessible to Edinburgh and the Fife coast. The furnishings and decor is very nice and modern. The shower was amazing. Very dog friendly with treats blankets bowls and towels provided for them. A lovely touch was milk and cup cakes waiting for us when we arrived. Rose Cottage was perfect for our holiday. Lovely enclosed garden was fantastic. Very clean and comfortable. Great location for visiting lots of different places including the Kelpies, Culross, St Andrews and Edinburgh.
