This charming hideaway for two, tucked in the peaceful village of Queen Camel, is the perfect retreat for couples and their four-legged friends seeking a countryside escape. With plenty of character and surrounded by the stunning landscapes of South Somerset, this lovely home is an ideal base for exploring scenic walking trails through woodlands, open fields, and along the River Cam.

Climb the external stone steps to the front door of this first-floor apartment and step into the hallway to stash coats, boots, and your pup’s lead after a day of adventures. The bright and airy lounge/diner is a wonderful spot to relax, with pastel tones, a vaulted ceiling, and French doors leading to a Juliet balcony. Share a romantic dinner at the wooden dining table before settling on the sofa to enjoy a movie on the Smart TV while Rover snoozes at your feet. A few steps lead down to the well-equipped galley-style kitchen, where you’ll find everything you need to cook up hearty breakfasts or tasty evening meals. At the end of the day, retreat to the double bedroom, decorated with elegant statement wallpaper and featuring luxurious linens for a restful night’s sleep. The bathroom offers a refreshing spot to rejuvenate after a day of countryside strolls or beach adventures. Alternatively, head 30 miles south to the Jurassic Coast for dramatic cliffside walks and dog-friendly beaches such as West Bay and Charmouth which have year-round dog-friendly zones.

Spacious and comfortable holiday home, very well equipped, and exceptionally clean. There are many great hiking trails and interesting sights just a short drive away. We had a very pleasant weekend there.

Calleron was a great place to stay. We were there for 3 weeks and it was a spacious and comfortable base for our holiday. So much better than a hotel room.
