Lovely cottage is a quiet village not far from the beach. The cottage itself has been finished well with good furnishings and equipment and comfortable beds. The local area is beautiful with plenty of walks and beaches in easy reach. Before we stayed some reviews mentioned the builders, don't let this put you off. Loved the house - ideal for us. Parking difficult but manageable. Had to reverse up the lane to the parking area. Ongoing building work up the lane but the workmen were aware of guests and their needs - always prepared to move vehicles if needed. Had a very enjoyable week there - spacious and comfortable for 6 adults and infant.

Lovely cottage, beautifully renovated. Quiet village location. Comfy beds and gorgeous bathrooms. Could do with more glasses & mugs, especially when x6 guests .. but plenty of plates etc. For a couple of days we were unable to park in the designated parking spaces (which is part of building site) due to works being carried out along Rock LaRead morene, so we parked at the top of the road for most of our stay. Its also quite uneven along Rock lane with metal sheeting covering the trench. The Beach house surf and coffee shop is a great stop after walking along the beach (back via dune path). We had a fantastic gin tasting session (free - you need to pre book) with Andrew at Gower Gin. Hide

Cottage is beautifully presented and very comfortable. The walk back up from the beach is very steep and was not managed by two elderly members of our party. The builders working next to the property arrived between 7.30 and 8.00am and woke us, even on Bank holidays. Parking is a pain as you have to ask them to move the vans/digger to get in and Read moreout, they were however very obliging. There are two parking spaces at the end of the short and narrow lane, we had an SUV and a small car and the parking was extremely tight to get in alongside each other. The builders have to park in front of these spaces. The property they are working on is a long way from being completed. The garden is enclosed but it is not secure. We had a beagle with us who could very easily jump the wall and there is also a 5 bar gate along the front of the property not seen in the photos. There is a gap under this gate anything beagle sized or smaller can fit through. Hide

A lovely cottage in a great location, a short walk from the beach, the local shop and pub. We were a party of 6 adults and one dog, and it felt very spacious and comfortable. The cottage has been refurbished to a very high standard. The kitchen was well equipped and we had everything that we needed. We all had a great time.

This was a fabulous place to stay. The interior has been done to a very high standard and is a modern renovation of a beautiful old cottage. The village is great- a couple of minutes walk down the hill to the beach, about 15mins walk to the pub at Port Eynon with lots of the Gower on your doorstep. Would happily stay again!

Beautiful house could be really relaxing but just check before booking so you are aware there is a building site next-door and you may become blocked in by vans and have an early morning wake up call to the sound of a digger. A courtesy call from agents to make us aware of the building next-door would have been beneficial

Skysea has been extended and refurbished to a very high standard and provides stylish and supremely comfortable accommodation from which to explore the Gower Peninsula. It has a real wow factor. We enjoyed using the electric Aga which heats up very quickly when needed. The beach is only a short downhill stroll from the property. The village boasts Read morea small convenience store and bakery but for more extensive shopping Mumbles and Swansea are 40 minutes away. There is a charming coffee and snack trailer at the beach car park and it is only a short walk to the Ship Inn and cafes at Port Eynon. All the coastal walks are lovely but we would particularly recommend Mumbles to Langland as the cliff path has been made very accessible along this stretch. The ongoing building works for the plot at the end of the access track did not disturb us or cause us any inconvenience; the builders were happy to move their vehicles if we needed them to. Hide

The cottage was beautiful, a real home from home. Inside was well equipped and very comfortable. The narrow access drive runs along the front of the house which has a low level wall dividing the front garden from it. Whilst this was fine during our stay as we were almost the only people using it, at the end of the short drive, next to the cottaRead morege there is a huge house being built which is at the early stages of construction. They share the drive. We were disturbed by builders on two days, and if they were there more this would have negatively impacted our stay. The outside eating area is right next to the drive and building plot as is a public right of way allowing people to walk down the drive along the length of the garden and along the side of the house. It almost feels like they are in the garden. The garden is also in view of the many people walking up the road from the beach to the holiday park slightly higher at the top of the hill. When the building works are complete this wouldn't be an issue at all, but at least for the next year or so, it is not what you particularly want if you are looking for a relaxing break. All in all we had a wonderful week, there is a short steep walk to the beach and the local pub served good food. There is a little shop and bakery nearby but otherwise limited facilities. We shopped for food in Swansea on our way through. We would recommend the cottage - but when the building works are finished. Hide
