A fantastic base for exploring the Isle of Wight, this beautiful Victorian-era period cottage has been stylishly updated to make a relaxing hideaway for larger families and groups of friends. Offering tastefully furnished accommodation for up to ten guests across three storeys, the elegantly finished retreat also has ample space for a pair of canine guests to join you for a well-earned break. Featuring a lovely open fire, a welcoming wood burner, a piano, sophisticated decor and an eclectic selection of ornaments, this airy holiday home is perfect for walkers, beach lovers and nature spotters discovering the island’s idyllic countryside and peaceful coastline.

This delightful cottage has two cosy and characterful lounges, each with a Smart TV and sumptuous seating, one with a wood burner, the other with an open fire. The ground floor also has a handsome dining room and a light, fully equipped kitchen. A few steps lead up to a charming piano room, and to the utility room and first shower room. Upstairs, the first floor features another shower room and three lovely bedrooms: a king-size, a twin and a single. Two final bedrooms – another king-size and a triple – are on the second floor. Stepping outside, a small front garden leads to a quiet seating area for two beneath a beautiful vine. The larger back garden is enclosed, providing a lovely spot for everyone to get together and dine alfresco with your pets lying in the sun. Off-road parking is available for two cars.

The large village of Freshwater sits along the western edge of the Isle of Wight, with The Needles Landmark Attraction (2 miles) making it a popular pet-friendly location. The nearby beaches at Colwell Bay (3 miles) and Watcombe Bay (1 mile) are both dog friendly, as is the charming Fort Victoria Country Park (3 miles).

Beautiful house for a girls trip away. Very comfortable and was perfect for us. Would look to stay here again if we return to the Isle of Wight.

Wonderful cottage, lovely quiet location and a beautiful garden. Its on 3 floors so something to consider if stairs are a bit of an issue for anyone - we were all fine. 9 of us stayed plus one dog - range of ages from 16 - 60, all of us wished we could have stayed longer !

A gorgeous, beautifully furnished and well equipped house in a great location. Absolutely perfect for 8 of us on our girls weekend away on the beautiful IoW. We had the best weekend! Would highly recommend.
