Explore the Roseland Heritage Coast and let your pup paddle at beautiful Cornish beaches when you stay at this enticing hideaway with a shepherd’s hut. Sleeping four guests, the one-bedroom cottage and one-bedroom hut nestle in rural surroundings near Penelewey. They sit in an enclosed garden which is paw-fect for pups and includes a sauna, a barrel hot and cold shower and a plunge pool for the people in your party.

Follow your waggy-tailed friend into the stone cottage to find comfortable, rustic accommodation that everyone will adore. Head into the lounge to let him flop on the William Morris rug or doze in his own bed in the doggy den in the warmth of the wood burner. There is also a sofa bed for one additional guest by prior arrangement. When puppy eyes plead for dinner, take him through to the adjoining kitchen/diner and whip up something special for everyone else too. Open a bottle of wine and dine at the table. When you are ready to turn in for the night, the double bedroom, which has an en-suite shower room, is close by. The gorgeous shepherd’s hut, which has been creatively designed to offer additional space for cooking in and unwinding in front of another wood burner, sits in the gardens. This has its own double bed and en-suite shower room. The gardens at this cottage bring great pleasure to pups and people. Let your chum bound about as you unwind and soak up the scenery. Pamper yourselves with saunas and dips out here too. There is private parking for four cars.

Head down to the sea at Loe Beach, 1.5 miles away, where everyone, including four-legged friends, can swim and play freely. Visit the Trelissick Estate, 1 mile away, where you and your pal can enjoy adventurous, woodland walks.

The attention to detail in this cottage was excellent. Lovely decor and a really nice place to relax when the weather got bad. The sauna was amazing and so relaxing after a day out walking. The kitchen was extremely well equipped. Much appreciated welcome tray with tea, coffee and biscuits. Would definitely recommend.

A lovely cottage, tasteful and quirky styling, well kitted out, wonderful dine-in kitchen with top quality equipment. A safe outside area for dogs, and an amazing shepherds hut with extra accommodation. Couldnt fault it, and would definitely stay again.

Quirky and great cottage that we thought was lovely overall and great attention to detail too, with the Shepherds Hut also. Good location and we also loved the local fields, footpath walk and pub down the road... wonderful for a Sunday roast and pub quiz.

The Smithy is a beautiful property in a great location call Feock which has great access by car to the far reaches of Cornwall and places we've never visited before. The property itself is easy to find and plenty of parking outside including a EV charging point which was extremely handy to charge my Volkswagen ID.7 overnight and prepared it for theRead more next day adventures. The accommodation has everything you need including a full equipment kitchen and Neff appliances. As the nights were chilly during our stay the Hive controlled heating system was extremely useful and the wood burner was the icing on the cake. The Smithy is beautifully decorated and owner Marion's attention to details is amazing and it feels very homely. The bed was comfortable and firm and the duvet was like sleeping under a cloud. The sauna is brilliant and perfect after a long day. Bathrobes and slippers provided added to the boutique luxury feeling. Behind the property is a field and then unadulterated views of the rolling countryside and as there is little light pollution the night sky is so beautiful to see. Marion was always on hand during our stay by phone/text and you could tell that she's really cares about The Smithy and the guests experience. I highly recommend staying and will be returning as we loved it so much. Hide

The Smithy is a real gem and I would thoroughly recommend the beautiful accommodation. The decor is fabulous and the sauna and plunge pool is a great retreat after walking the South West path. The location is great and only a 10 minute drive into Truro. There are some great circular walks and a lovely pub very near by which has lovely food. Read more Trelissick gardens are beautiful and The Smithy is a 3 minute drive to King Harry Ferry. The owner is really attentive and I cannot recommend this property enough. Hide
