We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful cottage its modern, clean, and elegantly decorated. The beds were extremely comfortable, and the showers were lovely. It is quite isolated, which is perfect if youre looking for peace and quiet, but if you prefer being close to amenities, this might not be the place for you. That said, the location encoRead moreuraged us to explore the surrounding areas, which was a real bonus. The nearest supermarket is in Pateley Bridge, about a 2025 minute drive along some winding backroads. The town itself is small but charming we highly recommend visiting Cocoa Joes for their incredible hot chocolate and friendly, helpful staff! Youll also find the worlds oldest sweet shop there, which is worth a visit. We also took day trips to Harrogate, Skipton (highly recommend!), Grassington, Ripley, and Knaresborough all within about an hours drive from Middlesmoor. Just to note, the cottage really is quite remote and sits up a steep hill, so youll need to drive everywhere. If youre not used to country backroads, take your time the views are worth it! Theres a lovely little pub just a couple of minutes walk away. They only serve meals on certain days and its best to book ahead, but they also offer takeaway on Fridays. It was a great spot to pop in for a drink in the evening the locals were friendly and full of great recommendations for places to visit. Parking was easy theres a small car park that fits around six cars (depending on how people park), and space directly outside the property for two small/medium cars or one larger one. Lastly, its a very dog-friendly area. There are plenty of scenic walks nearby, and everyone we met seemed to have a dog of their own! Hide
