Escape to the country with your favourite humans and hounds in this large holiday home near Godalming. The property has a choice of social spaces and a vast garden, making it the ideal getaway for large families and groups of friends. You’ll be surrounded by the breathtaking Surrey countryside, and the property adjoins the National Trust’s Hindhead Commons. For shopping and eating out, Godalming and Farnham are within 12 miles.

This light, bright, rural retreat has artwork adorning the walls, antique-style furniture, and plenty of creature comforts. Leave muddy boots and dog leads in the hallway, where you’ll also find a reading nook and a desk. The bright and airy kitchen/diner has everything needed to prepare feasts, which you can share at the breakfast table or the dining table set next to a wood burner. There’s also a walk-in pantry, handy utility room, and steps down to a boot room that’s perfect for drying off muddy paws and storing dog-walking gear. In the evenings, gather in the main lounge to snuggle up on the reclining sofas and watch a movie on the Smart TV. There are two bedrooms on the ground floor – a king and a double – along with a shower room and family bathroom. Upstairs, via two separate staircases, is a twin bedroom and a double bedroom with an en-suite shower room. Outside, the pups will be in their element in the extensive lawned garden. Dine alfresco on the patio, or retreat to the games room in the garage to play table tennis or darts. Beyond the garden, enjoy dog walks through the meadows and ancient woodlands. Private parking is available for four cars and there’s also an outdoor tap for rinsing off muddy paws.

Admire the historic buildings and peruse independent shops in the ancient market town of Godalming. There is a good range of paw-friendly eateries in the town, and you can take a stroll along the banks of the River Wey. Explore fabulous stately homes in the area, including Petworth House (14 miles) where you and your canine sidekicks can explore the 700-acre parkland, much of which allows off-lead walkies.

Very spacious yet cosy rural property. This rustic farm is exceptionally well equipped with modern appliances, TV, etc. Located in quiet countryside, surrounded by enjoyable walking trails it is still within easy reach of multiple villages, towns and the south coast. Ideal family holiday base.
