Property code: OC-B30287

Grab Rover’s lead and roam the dramatic Yorkshire Dales National Park and Nidderdale from this rural retreat in Middlesmoor. Nestled in scenic countryside and sleeping six guests, the three-bedroom cottage is surrounded by wonderful dog walks. The welcoming property is perfect for families or groups of friends and has a courtyard garden where you and Rover can enjoy the fresh air and sunshine together between excursions.

Give muddy paws a good wipe before stepping into the entrance hall where you’ll also find a handy WC. Head on into the lounge, where Rover can flop down for a nap as you sit back and relax on the soft seating. Catch up on your favourite series on the Smart TV or play a game together before contemplating what to cook for your evening meal. Rover will be eager to join you in the kitchen/diner so he can tuck into his meal as you prepare something delicious for everyone else. Open the doors to the enclosed garden on fine days so he can pad outside as you dine at the table. When day turns to night, settle him in his bed then climb the stairs to the first floor where your own rooms are located. These include two king-size bedrooms, one with an en-suite shower room, plus a twin room with zip-and-link beds (which can be made up as a king-size when requested at time of booking). The refreshing family bathroom is also located on this floor. Spill out into the courtyard garden with Rover at every opportunity and gaze out across the scenic Dales. There is off-road parking for two cars.

Take Rover with you to wander a section of the Nidderdale Way, which runs for over 50 miles and passes through the village. Have fun exploring How Stean Gorge (1 mile) where your pal is welcome to join you. The small market town of Pateley Bridge is just 7.5 miles away.

What an amazing cottage, the owner has thought of everything. The welcoming hamper was very thoughtful and the Christmas decorations made it feel festive for our break just after Christmas into the New Year. We had brought dog towels and beds, but the bonus of extra dog towels and mats is a great idea. To walk out of the cottage straight into the Read morehills was beautiful. We walked to Scar House reservoir and to HowSteam Gorge which was an amazing visit. A day trip into Patley Bridge and a circular walk around the river Nidd finished in Willows Restaurant for Steak Pie and gravy with home cooked chips. The pub was open and friendly on New Years Eve for a few drinks before bringing the New Year in at the cottage. This was a very quiet area and our 3 dogs between the party loved every minute of it. The cottage was always warm upon our return. The large entrance hall enabled us all to enter the cottage and move freely. With a party of six adults its was nice to have 3 wcs in the cottage and 2 bathrooms. One been the on suite. The 3 double bedrooms had ample space and storage. The lounge was cosy with plenty of seating, but what I liked the most was the large kitchen diner lounge area where we could all be together. We had a fantastic stay and I would recommend this cottage and area. Hide

We were three generations celebrating an 80th birthday. The younger ones are walkers and we picked the location to suit them which it did however with a 14 mile round trip to any food shop the fridge/freezer was too small for 6 people for a week. The house was well presented and the rooms were spacious as was the bathroom and shower room ( see above Read morere shower room) This location wouldnt suit everyone but we loved it. Fabulous modern house deep in the Nidderdale. Fantastic views all round. Wonderful food at the pub but be prepared as its 7.5 miles to the nearest shop. Dont run out of milk ! The property is in an excellent location in Middlesmoor; we enjoyed a week of good walking in Nidderdale. The house is comfortable, and provided good space for the needs of 5 adults for a week. The kitchen is particularly good, and well stocked with pots, pans, etc. There is also plenty of cupboard space, which is handy because the nearest grocery Read moreis in Pateley Bridge. The Crown, just round the corner, serves good sandwiches and beer. (The other food may also be good, but we din't try it.) Hide
