Make your way up to Armadale (1 mile), a waterside hamlet with a pretty beach. The hamlet is home to a vibrant water sports scene and plenty of rare seabirds including oystercatchers, rock doves and puffins. From here you can also take a passenger ferry over to Mallaig (6.5 miles), a village on the mainland. Back on Skye, take a walk along the southern coastal path to reach The Point of Sleat (5 miles), a spot with a spectacular white sand beach, a small gorge and rugged rock formations leading to impeccable views.
