Situated on the Sleat Peninsula, this incredible cottage offers an enviable base from which to explore the Isle of Skye, hosting a total of four guests and perfect for a small family or couple. The property is set on an elevated position with a backdrop of the sea, allowing you to step out and begin a long, rewarding hike with immediate sea views. Make your way up to Armadale (1 mile), a waterside hamlet with a pretty beach. The hamlet is home to a vibrant water sports scene and plenty of rare seabirds including oystercatchers, rock doves and puffins. From here you can also take a passenger ferry over to Mallaig (6.5 miles), a village on the mainland. Back on Skye, take a walk along the southern coastal path to reach The Point of Sleat (5 miles), a spot with a spectacular white sand beach, a small gorge and rugged rock formations leading to impeccable views.

Enhanced by the light that floods into the property, this single-storey cottage is bright and cheerful. Step into the lounge, an inviting room with comfy sofas, a Smart TV and a coal-effect electric fire that you can switch on to create a warm, welcoming glow when the weather’s cold outside. Next door, a kitchen/diner is spacious for all your cooking needs. Pick up some fresh ingredients on your travels and rustle up something tasty at mealtimes. Move back into the hallway to reach two bedrooms and a refreshing family bathroom. The bedrooms are set up as one double and one twin, both with comfy mattresses and soft linens to sink into at each day’s end.
