Bursting with charm and character, boasting a high, vaulted ceiling and beautiful exposed beams, the open-plan lounge/kitchen/dining/sleeping layout of this barn conversion perfectly reflects the light and airy ambience of your peaceful Scottish scenery. Your canine companion won’t be able to resist dozing in the sunny spots streaming in from the wonderful skylight windows as you rustle up some delicious treats or unwind wearing walking muscles – as dusk falls, fire up the roaring feature wood burner to keep toes and paws toasty. When it’s time to pause from chasing your tail, wash off a long day on the local trails in the contemporary shower room before retiring to the sumptuously soft linens of the cosy double bed. Make the most of your surrounding scenery by dining alfresco in the Mediterranean-style garden (dogs must be kept on a lead at all times in the garden). Outside, you’ll find private parking for one car.

Rosalind and puppy Talla were fantastic hosts. The location and views from the cottage are wonderful. Its close close proximity to the mountain bike trails at Glentress, the John Buchan way walk (outside the door), and the river Tweed are perfect. The lack of TV was great for a week of stepping away from the 'normal' humdrum of ever day life and beRead moreing able to switch off. A wonderful stay and cannot fault Rosalind for her kindness during our stay. Hide

Lovely converted barn for one or two people but I wouldnt say it was dog friendly, chickens wandering about ewes and lambs and cows in the field next to the barn. Beautiful countryside and the view from the window is stunning .
