Wonderful location, especially in spring with lots of blue squill flowers carpeting the grass. Good for birds with stonechats, whitethroats, song thrush, wheatears, pipits, wagtails, swallows and martins just out the door. Also cliff-nesting sea-birds but fewer than I expected. Coastal walks superb, at least in the fabulous weather we had. Cottage Read morehad everything we needed and more. The owners were immediately helpful when we hadn't yet received our arrival information, which meant all went smoothly. Highly recommend. Hide

This is the perfect place to relax and escape. We could easily just stay here for days, with local walks, the cafe nearby and a beautiful location to relax in. Further afield Port Patrick is a lovely place to visit and Stranraer has everything needed to stock up. The kitchen is perfectly equipped for everything. Beds are comfortable and the place iRead mores very clean. The wi-fi worked well and there is also some mobile signal. A great dog friendly stay that is such good value. This was our second visit and wont be our last. Hide
