The kitchen offers all the facilities you’ll need to prepare tasty human meals, including an air fryer. Dine at the adjacent table as the sun pours through the glazed doors, then relax on the sofa with your four-pawed pals tucked by your feet, perhaps streaming a show on the Smart TV. At bedtime, kiss your hounds goodnight and head for the two dreamy bedrooms, which share a sleek family shower room. For a long soak after adventures outdoors, hop into the hot tub, from which you can admire the gorgeous rural views. The wraparound terrace (enclosed by a low wall) also boasts a bistro set, sun loungers and a dining table. As well as a private parking space, the property benefits from a host of shared facilities, including a laundry/games room (up four steps), BBQ, children’s play area and dog/boot wash.
Set out from your lodge with your mutts at your heels and head to dog-friendly Llansteffan Beach, 3 miles, for long runs on the sand. In Carmarthen, 6.5 miles, you’ll find Wales’s first coffee shop dedicated especially to dogs, as well as plenty of independent boutiques and eateries.
