The property sits on the same land as the owner''s home but enjoys complete privacy with its own walled garden, ideal for your pets to roam freely while you soak up the sunshine.

Step inside the charming retreat, finished with traditional Essex weatherboarding, to find bright and airy interiors designed with both style and comfort in mind. A spacious ground-floor king-size bedroom (with the option to convert into twin beds if needed) sits next to the family shower room. The heart of the cottage is the chic country kitchen/diner, offering ample room to prepare delicious meals. The open-plan layout flows into the lounge, where glass doors lead out to the garden – ideal for letting your canine friends explore while you relax on the leather sofa, catching up on your favourite shows. A staircase leads to the mezzanine level, where you''ll find the second king-size bedroom, complete with a Juliet balcony and glass door offering lovely views over the garden and surrounding countryside. The enclosed walled garden is the perfect spot for summer days spent lounging in the sun or enjoying a BBQ. With a patio, sundeck, and lawn area, your dogs will love having a space to safely explore. There’s also private parking for one car.

Spend the day discovering the dog-friendly cafes and pubs of Clacton-on-Sea (5.5 miles), or visit the sandy, pet-positive shores of Walton-on-the-Naze (9 miles), where playful hounds can bound around in specified zones at any time of the year. Cudmore Grove Country Park on Mersea Island (19.5 miles) is pure dog heaven. This lovely park hugs the coast and has lovely year-round walks to get tails wagging. For a change of scenery, head to Colchester Castle (11.5 miles), where your canine companions are welcome to explore the lower gardens.

This property is outstanding very comfortable has everything you could possibly need. The owners were very helpful and even sent us a message to let us know we could use the BBQ. We have a dog lovely walk from the property. We visited Brightlingsea, Frinton, Walton on naze ,Holland on sea all very close by .

Comfortable and clean. Secure garden good for our dog. Footpath to the side of the property good for dog walks. Ideal for us.

Lovely cottage. Nice and peaceful. Finished to a high standard. Comfy beds, lovely shower/bathroom. Safe parking for your car. Good position to reach Colchester, Frinton, Ipswich, Chelmsford and many other places.

From the minute we stepped inside it was clearly an exceptional cottage. Immaculate throughout with comfy sofa and beds...beautifully furnished...quiet and restful with a small privarte garden ..great attention to detail. Definitely recommend.

Our second stay at this beautiful property this year and it did not disappoint. Every little detail is taken care of making the cottage comfortable and a real home from home. The garden and parking courtyard area is enclosed so extremely safe for dogs and our spaniel has thoroughly enjoyed both stays here! Beautiful property. Very clean and comfortable, especially the beds! We had everything we needed. Lovely secure garden for our dogs. Also public footpath next to the property and nature reserve only about 10 mins away so dogs had good spaces to run around. The Granary is a great place to stay. It was clean, comfortable, all the equipment we needed and well decorated. The owners where friendly and not intrusive; a great balance. We loved the quiet location with walks from the doorstep.

Wonderful stay in a peaceful location but within easy reach of the beach, shops and countryside. Very welcoming hosts Vicky and Simon who were on hand if we needed anything, which we didn't as the cottage was exceptional in every way. This is a really fantastic place to stay. The Granary cottage is done to a very high spec and feels genuinely luxurious. Extremely clean and fresh, and the owners left a little welcome pack of milk, cleaning equipment, bottled water and dog treats which was such a lovely touch - especially after a long journey with dogs and children!
