For a memorable Welsh break with your loved ones and pet, stay at this charming stone cottage in the stunning Rheidol Valley. It’s in a lovely rural spot just 1 mile from the nearest pub and 5 from the vibrant seaside town of Aberystwyth, where your pet can run around on the dog-friendly sections of the beach while you munch on fish and chips.
Made from gorgeous stone, the cottage has a rustic look and feel. The inside has been beautifully refurbished, featuring an open-plan living area with attractive herringbone flooring downstairs. The spacious lounge is bathed in natural light and is perfect for relaxation with your furry friend, complete with cosy sofas and a Smart TV. Prepare meals and feed your pet in the adjacent kitchen, which has a compact dining area for eating together. Upstairs, you’ll have two beautifully furnished double bedrooms, both with en-suite shower rooms, Smart TVs and stunning views to wake up to. One room also has access to a balcony for stolen moments sipping morning coffee in your own private oasis overlooking serene fields and trees. Outside, you can dine in the fresh air on the balcony or sizzle up a BBQ while your pet runs free in the enclosed garden. The surrounding grounds are fab for dog walks and soul-soothing views. There is private parking at the property for two cars.
Aberystwyth has plenty to explore, including a classic pier and a promenade ideal for seaside strolls. For breathtaking panoramas, walk up to the top of Constitution Hill or take your pet for a nostalgic ride on the Cliff Railway. You can also take your pet on a steam train on the Vale of Rheidol Railway, which charges through the countryside to the iconic Devil''s Bridge waterfall. For more outdoor adventures, the Cambrian Mountains (26 miles) are brimming with scenic hiking trails, or a short drive to Borth (7 miles) gives you access to a gorgeous expansive beach, popular for windsurfing – the northern section, towards the dunes of Ynyslas, is dog friendly all year round.
