Nestled next to the village church, this charming coastal retreat offers a tranquil getaway for families, couples, and their loyal, four-pawed companions. Inside, enjoy a traditional country cottage ambience, and outside, dine alfresco while your canine companion safely explores the private garden’s enclosed borders.

Enter this attractive, single-storey cottage through the side entrance, and you’ll step into a well-equipped kitchen that’s ready for family meals or preparing treats for your pup. The adjoining boot room is handy for storing leads, coats, and walking boots after a day out exploring. The family bathroom, located just off the boot room, features a large corner bath. From here, a shallow step leads to the bright lounge/diner overlooking the front garden, where a comfortable sofa and armchairs are perfect for cosy evenings in with your pup snoozing at your feet. When it’s time to rest, one bedroom features a super-king-size bed and a charming fireplace, while the other boasts a king-size bed. Outside, at the rear, you’ll find a patio area with outdoor furniture, ideal for al fresco dining, while the enclosed, lawned garden awaits a safe game of fetch. At the front, the large south-facing garden provides two seating areas to enjoy the sunshine throughout the day. There’s parking for two cars on the gated driveway.

Located at the beginning of the 62-mile Northumberland Coast Path to Berwick-upon-Tweed, you’ll find scenic walks from your doorstep, including breathtaking routes along Cresswell Beach. This sandy expanse is perfect for picnics in the dunes, and your furry friend will love running along the shore. For nature lovers, Cresswell Nature Reserve (1 mile) and nearby Druridge Bay County Park (6 miles) offer woodland trails and opportunities to spot local wildlife, with plenty of paw-friendly paths to explore. History hounds can visit the village’s Pele Tower, and everyone can refuel with a bite at the popular cafe nearby (0.5 miles).

Lovely characterful cottage set in a spacious garden that overlooked the countryside for miles. Very quiet and a five minute walk to a gem of a beach. Will look forward to booking this cottage again

The cottage had everything you would need, it was very comfortable and in a quiet location with easy access to local towns etc. Location is perfect for a beach walk (5 or so minutes away). Garden is large and dog proof.

The cottage is in a beautiful setting. The garden is lovely, but we couldn't let the dog off lead as it wasn't totally secure. The village is really quiet and peaceful with a great beach at the bottom of the road. The cottage is comfortable, but in need of a bit of tlc in places.

We really enjoyed our stay at Church Cottage the garden was a great addition and the hidden path to a lovely view of the bay. Cresswell was a charming village clean quiet and well kept. The beach was easy to access as long as there were no mobility problems.

Lovely quiet location with a fantastic garden for our dog "Bonnie", who didn't want to leave when we packed the car up. Dog accesible beach 300 yards away with miles of empty space when the tide is out. Box of chocolates on arrival, much appreciated. Fish Shack in Amble has superb food and is dog friendly. Very comfortable beds, good kitchen and nicely furnished. The owner Pat Curry was very good - I rang asking where the iron was. A lovely well equipped cottage. Lovely gardens front and back with large lawns where we could play with the dog. 10 minute walk to the very quiet beach. Shop close by, on the holiday park. Chip shop up the road, and the Drift Cafe on the coast road allows dogs.
