Families, friends, and four-pawed pals are invited to dive into Eryri (Snowdonia) adventures from this magnificent farmhouse. The wildlife and scenery surrounding this working farm holiday home are truly exceptional, with the property situated on an RSPB reserve and a Site of Special Scientific Interest oak woodland. Your furry friend will have a hard time containing their excitement as they set off on their walks each day, with crawling critters and exciting wildlife within sniffing distance before you’ve even left the estate. Cosy nights in are assured for the four guests and one dog that stay here – an essential for aching muscles, tired legs, and sleepy pups.
This two-storey property is full of tail-wagging character, featuring exposed stone walls, slate flooring, and low beams throughout. Ready to battle the Welsh elements, the ground floor is equipped with a wood burner set in an inglenook fireplace, and underfloor heating in the downstairs shower room – a delight for cold toes and paws. Come together as a group at mealtimes, with some fresh local produce on the table and a scrap or two saved for your good doggo. Two double bedrooms await upstairs, while the exterior features a paved garden that seamlessly blends into the surrounding woodland and farmland. Private parking is available for two cars.
Let your energetic pup lead the way, bounding down tree-lined country lanes and waymarked pathways. Head to the local town of Dolgellau (4 miles), a great place to explore and a perfect starting point for many walking routes, including the Mawddach Trail (1 mile), which hugs the striking Mawddach Estuary. Keen hikers and their daring doggos can tackle the trail up Cader Idris (11 miles), enjoying stunning coast and countryside views from its impressive summit. The area is also an exceptional place for stargazing, so set off late at night with Rover at your heel. Due to location of this property we advise 4x4 vehicles be used to access.
