This gorgeous lodge is ideally located right next to the water on the Fens – expect gorgeous views and wildlife sightings nearby. It’s within a quiet and friendly holiday park in Welney, Norfolk, and surrounded by pretty paths that are perfect for dog walks. You’ll have a lovely village pub just 0.5 miles away, where dogs are welcome to join you in the bar.
Everything is on the one floor inside this stylish dwelling, which features an open-plan living area ideal for cooking, eating and playing games together. Plants, artwork and other touches create a pleasant atmosphere, while a cosy wood burner keeps you and your pet cosy during the cooler months. From here, bi-fold doors reveal stunning views. When it’s time to retire for the night, head to the king-size bedroom which gives access to a bunk room, where both adults and children can sleep. The bedroom also has an en-suite shower room with a walk-in shower and WC. There's also a separate WC located on the opposite side of the lodge. Back in the main space, the French doors lead out to a wrap-around decked space where your pet can stretch their legs while you sip a refreshing cup of coffee. Please note, if your dog loves to roam, the lodge is set near a fishing lake, so extra caution around the water is needed. Guests will also benefit from two private parking spaces.
Fishing is a wonderful activity you can enjoy with your pet by your side, and the water right outside your place is fully stocked with roach, rudd, bream, common carp and mirror carp – it’s every angler’s dream! Further afield, plan day trips to nearby towns like Ely (10.5 miles), with its lively weekend market, cathedral and quirky independent shops.
