Keen for a seaside holiday break with your loved ones and pet? Book a stay at this attractive two-bed home in the beach village of Spittal located 1.5 miles from Berwick-upon-Tweed in Northumberland. You’ll be a mere 150 metres from the pretty beachfront and promenade – wonderful for morning walkies – along with Spittal’s beach where dogs are welcome all year round.

On arrival, take an immediate left into the spacious lounge, which has a pretty blue colour scheme and a wood burner for cooler nights. Settle down on the electric reclining chair and switch on the Smart TV to recharge. At the back of the house is a fully equipped kitchen/diner, also blue, complete with a handy espresso coffee machine for those morning wake-ups. Upstairs, a lovely king-size bedroom with sea views awaits, along with a second twin room overlooking the rear. The first-floor landing is an ideal spot for your dog’s bed, while a bright and airy bathroom completes the accommodation. Make the most of the rear patio garden where you can dine alfresco while your dog sniffs in the fresh air (please note, this space isn’t enclosed). Outside the front, the gravelled driveway has space for one car, with more parking spots available on the street.

There’s a convenience store 200 metres away and more shops within 1 mile. Or head over the River Tweed toward Berwick-upon-Tweed, a lovely town with a rich history. Explore cobbled streets, mediaeval walls, Elizabethan ramparts and a generous peppering of dog-friendly shops, bars and restaurants. Adventurous pups will enjoy boat trips with the potential for seal and dolphin sightings. Holy Island (13.5 miles) and Bamburgh Castle (19 miles) are excellent options for holiday fun.

Fantastic location. Easy access to the seafront Super comfy beds Had a lovely relaxing Christmas Extremely dog friendly Parking initially complicated on arrival but sorted once we contacted holiday cottages.

Comfortable, everything you need, 2 mins walk to the beach, Berwick town a brisk walk, Burnmouth and Seahouses a short drive away. Would definitely recommend, especially if you have a dog. Great walks.

Well maintained and comfortable cottage in a quiet area within a 5 minute drive of Berwick very close to beach.

Our group of 4 adults stayed in Bellevue by the Sea for a very peaceful 4 nights. The house was comfortable and the outhouses in the rear patio area were very useful for storing our 3 bikes safely. With the corner shop, the beach and promenade being just a short walk away, and regular bus links from Spittal to Berwick from almost outside the front Read moredoor, it was possible for each of us, together or separately, to explore the local area without needing to use the car. The house was in a quiet location, near to the beach and was very well equipped. The extras, including soap, washing up liquid etc were useful, especially when only staying for five days. The human welcome pack was a very nice touch, and our labradoodle loved her doggy welcome pack especially the treats & tennis ball. There were plenty of places Read morenearby to visit, including Seahouses, Holy Island, Bamburgh, with beautiful beaches and scenery to see. Bamburgh beach & dunes are well worth a visit, especially for the dog to play in the dunes. We found a good choice of cafes and restaurants, in the places we visited; The Copper Kettle in Bamburgh & Limoncello restaurant in Berwick, Pilgrims Coffee House & Roastery on Holy Island, were all very nice & dog friendly, we also enjoyed a nice Chinese from the Royal Garden in Berwick. We will definitely return to this house and explore the area further. Hide
