You’d be barking mad to miss out on a stay at this stunning cottage when planning a trip to North Norfolk. Located along a narrow street in the centre of Cromer, this beautifully renovated property welcomes six guests in three bedrooms with space for an extra two in a snug, plus two lucky pups. Ideal for a family holiday or a getaway with friends, it features an open-plan living area, a garden oasis complete with outdoor hot tub, with the delights of this beach town just a whisker away.
Bold colour schemes, high-quality fixtures and fittings, and thoughtfully chosen artworks combine to create a stylish yet welcoming property. The opulent, open-plan lounge and diner is perfect for socialising and entertaining with long sofas, a warming wood burner and a light-filled dining area. There’s a separate snug along the corridor should you fancy a quiet spot to curl up with a book plus a sofa-bed accommodating an extra two guests, and a handsome fitted kitchen with everything you need to prepare meals for your pack. Three boutique-style bedrooms invite you upstairs for a restful night’s sleep. Choose between two king-size rooms, one of which can be made up as a twin, along with a double. A first-floor family bathroom and a ground-floor WC offer comfort and convenience. Make the most of warm weather in the enclosed garden, which features a hot tub, outdoor dining area, BBQ and a small patch of grass to please your pups. Off-road parking is available for two medium-size cars.
Have a ball with morning walkies along the promenade and Cromer’s historic pier but note that Cromer beach has dog restrictions between May and September. For scampering on sands and frolicking in the sea, head to nearby West Runton beach, which only has restrictions at the beach entrance and is a great spot to search for fossils. The region is rich in walkies. Wander along the Coast Path to Sheringham (4.5 miles) or inland to explore the grounds of Felbrigg Hall (3 miles).
