This stylish holiday home is tucked away amongst the Isle of Wight countryside, near the small hamlet of Adgestone. The property welcomes six guests and one furry friend and has a sociable, open-plan layout and a gorgeous garden with a heated swimming pool (April-September). You’ll find a myriad of countryside walks to explore directly from the property and the vibrant coastal resorts of Sandown and Shanklin are within 3 miles, offering an array of eateries and traditional seaside attractions.
The single-storey countryside retreat is decorated in natural tones and features exposed woodwork, contemporary furniture, and a carefully chosen collection of accessories and artwork. After a day of exploring, unwind in the inviting lounge where you’ll find comfortable seating set around a Smart TV. On chilly nights, fire up the wood burner to create a cosy dozing spot for the woofer. Just off the lounge is a snug, with a second Smart TV and a sofa bed that can be made up on request to provide alternative sleeping arrangements. At the heart of the home is a bright and airy kitchen/diner, where you can prepare hearty meals for the group to share at the breakfast bar or around the wooden dining table overlooking the garden. Adjacent to the kitchen is a handy utility room where you can store all your dog-walking gear. The property has three tastefully decorated bedrooms, one king-size zip-and-link (which can be made up as a twin upon request), one double and one bunk bedroom. A contemporary family bathroom completes the accommodation. Outside, the enclosed garden has a large lawn where the hound can play, along with a sunny patio area for al fresco dining. In summer months you’ll have access to the outdoor pool, allowing for a pre-breakfast swim to set you up for the day. Private parking is available for three cars.
The Isle of Wight is a paradise for walkers and four-pawed explorers, with a 68-mile coast path offering jaw-dropping views, as well as remote tracks and trails across chalk downs and through ancient woodland. The island’s east coast has some fantastic beaches that welcome four-legged visitors all year, such as Bembridge Beach (5 miles) and Seagrove Bay (6.5 miles). Nearby woof-welcoming attractions include Blackgang Chine, Shanklin Chine, and Carisbrooke Castle (all within 12 miles).
