Bring together your nearest and dearest for a holiday to remember in this luxurious, family home in Instow, on the North Devon coast. Welcoming eight humans and two woofers, the inviting, open-plan layout and choice of outdoor areas provide plenty of space for everyone to spread out and relax. The sandy, paw-friendly beach is just 0.5 miles from the property, and you’ll find a good choice of pubs and eateries within the village.

The detached coastal retreat sits in a quiet cul-de-sac and has a reverse-level layout to really make the most of the fabulous views. Inside, leave coats and dog leads in the hallway, before heading upstairs to the bright, open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. Decorated in a contemporary style, this sociable space features a vaulted ceiling with skylights and a striking media wall housing the Smart TV and a gorgeous ‘living flame’ electric fire. Spend time here, relaxing on the sofas with Rover and Fido curled at your feet, as you watch a film or read a book. The sleek kitchen area has everything needed to cater for the group, and you can gather at the stylish dining table for memorable mealtimes together or enjoy informal dining at the breakfast bar. Bi-fold doors lead from the living area out onto a decked balcony with seating. Heading back downstairs, you’ll find four beautiful bedrooms, two of which have en-suite facilities. There’s also a family bathroom with a free-standing bath on this level. Accessed via a half landing off the main staircase, a decked bridge leads to the higher-level garden, which features a patio area for al fresco dining and a lawn where the pups can frolic. The games room is also accessed from here. External metal steps take you from the decked bridge to the lower courtyard, where you’ll discover additional outdoor seating and a luxurious hot tub – the perfect place to unwind after a long dog walk. The outdoor space has a shower, which is very handy for washing off sandy toes and paws after a trip to the beach. Private parking is available for four cars.

Enjoy a stroll along Instow Beach with your four-pawed pals, or perhaps join the traffic-free Tarka Trail for a scenic jaunt beside the river. In summer months, you and your waggy-tailed companions can hop on the passenger ferry across to the pretty fishing village of Appledore and potter amongst its cobbled streets and colourful cottages. The bustling market town of Bideford is 4.5 miles away and nearby woof-welcoming attractions include Hartland Abbey and Gardens, The Milky Way Adventure Park, and Clovelly (all within 15 miles).

Fantastic property in a great location. The house is amazing, everything you could want in a holiday home. Its only a short walk to the beach and pubs, we thoroughly enjoyed our week here, one of the best holidays weve had. We will definitely return.

We booked this holiday home for our Daughter 17th Birthday family weekend. It was fantastic, clean and immaculate, within easy reach to Instow. Firstly, the house was amazing and absolutely perfect for our two families to enjoy the Christmas week together. I was sceptical about the house being decorated for Christmas but was actually really pleased with the effort that had gone into it. The Christmas hats and treats were a lovely extra extra which were unexpected but very much appreciated.Read more We wore the hats on Christmas Day! The house was clean, tidy, warm and welcoming upon our arrival. The upside down living was certainly unique but we embraced it. The digital guide was a godsend! We referred to it several times during our stay. The upstairs open plan living was set up beautifully and allowed our families to be together even when doing different activities. The space and the views were fantastic! The kitchen was brilliant and had everything we needed! It was daunting being away for Christmas for the first time and I was a bit worried that we wouldnt have everything we needed, but we had plenty of plates, cutlery and serving dishes. It was all there! We really did have a fantastic stay! Hide

We had a fabulous two week stay in this beautiful property. We know the area well, and it is perfectly situated for a comfortable walk into Instow and a short drive to Appledore, longer drives (but very straightforward) to Woolacombe, Lynmouth, Hartland, Clovelly and South Molton for the pannier market. Beds and bathrooms are all very comfortable, Read moreas are the sofas and dining area. Kitchen is fully equipped and the welcome pack was appreciated. Views out to the water from the front balcony are lovely. The garden is dog friendly and theres a very comfortable outside seating space with a metal roofed pergola which we enjoyed - weather pleasantly warm in October. We didnt use the firepit or bbq, but they are set up ready. Hot tub was clean and well maintained. As often with a reverse level property, the house may not be best suited for some people with mobility issues because the loos are all downstairs (although the stairs have good handrails). Hide

We all loved our stay at Eventide. Kitchen was well equipped, although no foil/cling film for picnic sandwiches. Having said that not a problem to buy some at the local shop.
