Return from long walks across the golden, open sands of picturesque Holkham Beach to this delightful, dog-friendly apartment. Set on the first floor of an exquisite period building in the North Norfolk village of Holkham, the one-bedroom hideaway sleeps two and makes the perfect retreat for a couple wishing to bring their four-legged friend along for the stay. Set just 350 metres from the expansive Holkham Estate parkland, which your puppy pal can explore with you, it comes with a garden and is just 1 mile from the spectacular beach.

Open the front door and follow your cheerful chum up the stairs to your private quarters on the floor above. Wander inside to make yourselves at home in its airy, light-filled, open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. Top up your delighted dog’s water and food bowls, then let him enjoy his meal while you prepare a romantic dinner for two. Dine together as you gaze out over your surroundings, then settle on the soft seating in the lounge in front of a good film on the Smart TV. Pat your pal and wish him goodnight before heading through to your double bedroom. Have an invigorating shower or steaming bath before lacing up your walking boots and taking your happy hound out for his first run of the day. Relax together out in the garden on warm days, throwing a ball for your eager chum if he is not already exhausted by his long walks. There is parking for one car in a nearby, private car park.

Follow the trail where the Peddars Way meets the Norfolk Coast Path for 3 miles from Holkham to beautiful Burnham Overy Staithe. Head out in the direction of Blakeney, 8 miles away, where you can walk out along The Point to see if you can spot seals.

Great location with so many things to see and do in the area

A really beautiful property in the equally beautiful setting of the Holkham estate. The apartment was on the first floor so has lovely views and was cosy and warm. Very good range of coffee table style books left for us to read, a TV and a few board games. Spotlessly clean and modernized inside. All the equipment you would need for a short stay Read moreand reasonable storage. The bedroom vanity area had a mirror and plugs in all the right places for hairdryer etc. Very comfy bed but a bit short for a tall husband! The kitchen was well equipped with good quality items including an air fryer, coffee machine and microwave. The Holkham toiletries were from Holkham estate and really lovely. The owners also left a parking permit for the estate and a discount card for the shops. There was a wine shop behind the property which had a huge range and also gifts, and the country outdoor wear shop was equally well stocked with good quality items. Plenty of secure parking around the properties. The Victoria opposite is lovely although we didn't visit on this occasion we had been before and recommend it. Holkham beach is only a short walk down the road too. We would definitely consider staying in one of the properties again when in Norfolk and would recommend this property. Hide

A super property in one of the best positions in North Norfolk, directly facing Lady Annes Drive. With a few very minor adjustments this will be a superb place to stay.

Excellent all round stay , location was perfect , if carlsberg did dog holidays we just had it . The park grounds , the beach walk were all amazing , thank you

Overall very nice indeed some additional kitchen items would be appreciated but it's a small criticism as it was in most respects very well equipped All rooms very clean and comfortable and overall very welcoming.

Our stay at Holm Oak Hideaway 2 was very enjoyable. The facilities in the apartment were modern, clean and tidy. The location is the best weve known for exploring the north Norfolk coast. Little touches of locally sourced food and books were very well thought. We would very much recommend a stay here.
