Enjoy a winter break on the Cornish coast in this stylish holiday home in Porthtowan, which welcomes eight guests and one four-legged companion from October to March. Set right on the South West Coast Path, you can take long walks with the pup before returning to your cosy bolthole to snuggle by the wood burner and take in the panoramic scenery.
The property has a reverse-level layout to make the most of the breathtaking sea views. On the ground floor you’ll find three bedrooms (a super-king-size with an en-suite shower room, plus two twin bedrooms), along with a cosy lounge. This is a quiet spot where the pup can hang out, with a roaring wood burner and easy access to the patio. Heading upstairs, you’ll discover a magnificent, open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. This sociable space is flooded with light and exudes elegance. Underfloor heating ensures a warm welcome, whatever the season, and will be much appreciated by your four-pawed friend. Come together for memorable mealtimes around the central table, before retiring to one of the seating areas to take in the glorious views. A super-king-size bedroom with an en-suite bathroom completes this floor. Outside you’ll find two patio areas, as well as a lawn for Rover to play on, and a handy outside shower.
Porthtowan is set within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and has a gorgeous, sandy beach backed by dunes and dramatic cliffs. Out of season, the furball can play on the sand and splash in the water to their heart’s content. From Porthtowan, you can walk along the South West Coast Path to St Agnes or Portreath, taking you through Cornwall’s fascinating mining country, as well as past some spectacular scenery. The bustling harbour town of Falmouth is 15 miles away and makes a lovely day trip.
