The layout of the bungalow and size of rooms very good but the garden needs a lot of attention. Sevice from Holliday Lettings was very good.

Lovely bungalow and ideal location, however, the garden lets is down a little, not that secure or private down the alleyway side, and the gate has no lock on it.

A good base for visiting Purbeck and eastern Dorset. It's a very spacious property with good central heating and an enormous fridge-freezer. February wet weather didn't allow us to explore the outdoor facilities, which looked inviting.

Had a lovely week at Runnymead, very comfortable and spacious, and the location was central to most places to visit. Great sized garden which was totally secure, an ideal place for our dog to run around in. We're already planning on staying there again, would highly recommend.

We had a great holiday in Dorset DESPITE the property issues - front door lock impossible - had to use back door and the back gate had no lock on it. Furnishings more generally were OK. Bed comfy. Kitchen under-equipped with sufficient mugs and apart from a couple of black mugs mainly poor quality. Dustbins did not seem to fall into line with what Read moreother residents/neighbours were using. Basically, each day we went out early and came back late - had we been hoping to spend lots of time at the house we'd have been VERY disappointed. Sadly we were left with the realisation that this house was the worst we have ever booked through any holiday cottages agency. Response from holidaycottages.co.uk: Thank you for your review. We can confirm that we will discuss this with the owner. Hide

Lovely property, clean, nicely decorated; furniture aqnd appliances were all good quality. However we were disappointed with the state of the garden which rather let the property down . Had a really good two weeks stay in the bungalow, the facility was very good and the area is central and a great place for visiting the Dorset county. The neighbours were very friendly and helpful which is half the battle The garden needs some work but it did not put us off, but the inside of the house is very good

Disappointed. Overpriced for what we could use. No bins provided, they wanted us to ensure bins are put outside for collection but no bins provided, no bin bags either, they promised to have them there before we left but we left a day early we were so fed up. The garden was uncared for, prickly lawn full of weeds, ants and cut back branches left Read moreon the side. BBQ area has bricks debris, dirty, the bbq itself is unused and going rusty inside. The area is not clean or pleasant for eating or cooking so we couldnt use. There was a small hard standing under bedroom window which, if cleaned, could have been nice for a small table/ chairs, but like the BBQ area was unkempt. It is a well appointed bungalow inside , clean and pretty. However the bathroom has many issues, blocked drain in shower, broken shower in bath, leaking sink tap. In the kitchen, which is well appointed, the kettle is missing filter and barely boils enough for everyone to have a cuppa and toaster doesnt work either. The back garden is not good. Back gate doesnt shut. Kids/dogs can let themselves out easily. Anyone could let themselves in! But the back door to bungalow needs such a bang to shut/open youd at least hear intruders. The living room is pleasant, if you don't use the incredibly harsh overhead light (just change to a warm bulb! The blue light is grim!) , and the main bedroom is good. Incredibly disappointed and cannot recommend without the cottage having these ongoing issues fixed, realising these issues have been mentioned in guest book and left unresolved since 2024 was a galling experience for the price paid. We left early in the end. Hide

The property was nice and spacious and very well located for many of Dorset's wonderful attractions, especially for some very scenic Jurassic coast walking. The general standard of cleaning was fine with bedding, floors, surfaces, sinks and WC all good, and with a full complement of kitchen utensils. Spacious property with large rooms. Good location for exploring the area. Short drive the Wareham Arne etc. Excellent modern kitchen which works well. Huge TV and comfy sofas. Didnt use the log burner as no logs provided. (Did get apology from company). The shower works but is electric and a bit weak. Sparse number of plug sockets and very little bRead moreedside lights so bedtime reading was tricky! Large comfy beds. The whole property was spotlessly clean and the heating worked well. The garden was scruffy and not inviting but maybe this will be tidied up now spring is here. But top tip bring your own bin bags and toilet roll as not provided) Despit sine if the above we fud face a good week and I think the property is a new rental so maybe just teething problems. Hide
