This spacious family home is in the quaint village of St Florence, 5 miles from the Pembrokeshire coast. The property sleeps eight guests and two canine buddies, and is ideal for both family get-togethers and holidays with friends. From your doorstep, enjoy dog walks along quiet country lanes or following the River Ritec. The colourful seaside town of Tenby is 5 miles away and Heatherton World of Activities, which welcomes dogs on a lead, is 1 mile away.
The detached family home is set back from the road by a rustic stone wall and gravelled garden. Inside, the property is decorated in a contemporary style and has a subtle beach theme running through each room. On the ground floor you’ll find a vast, open-plan kitchen/diner. This sociable space has hard floors – making it the ideal spot to set up the dog beds – along with a magnificent, oval dining table and an archway leading through to a stylish kitchen. There is also a comfortable sofa in the window, where you can curl up with a book or enjoy pre-dinner drinks. Across the hallway, discover a fabulous lounge with statement sofas, a Smart TV/DVD, and an array of quirky, homely touches. Upstairs, four elegant bedrooms await. The master king-size bedroom has an en-suite shower room and patio doors opening onto a decked balcony. The second king-size bedroom also has an en-suite shower room, and there is a family bathroom on this level. Two beautiful double bedrooms complete the first floor. The laundry facilities are in the garage, where you’ll also find a dog crate should you need it during your stay. Outside, the split-level garden is fully enclosed, with two patio areas for al fresco dining and a tiered lawn where the pups can play. Parking is available for 1 car in the garage and another car on the driveway. There is also on-street parking, subject to availability.
Tenby is known for its idyllic, sandy beaches. South Beach (5 miles) welcomes hounds all year and, at low tide, you can follow the shoreline all the way to Penally Beach, which is also paw friendly. Throughout the summer, boat trips regularly depart from the harbour. You and your salty sea dogs can enjoy a visit to the tranquil Caldey Island or spend a day offshore fishing. The Pembrokeshire Coast Path passes through Tenby, and you and the woofers can follow it for 5 miles to the neighbouring resort of Saundersfoot.
