This stylish holiday home is in the clifftop village of Gwbert-on-Sea, and enjoys panoramic views across Cardigan Bay. The coastal bolthole sleeps six guests and two hairy hounds, and suits both families and groups of friends looking to explore West Wales. After a long walk with the woofers or a day at Poppit Sands (6.5 miles), relax on the decked terrace with a glass of wine and soak up the spectacular scenery.
The chic coastal retreat has been beautifully styled, featuring neutral decor, a plethora of natural materials, and botanical touches throughout. At the heart of the home is a stunning lounge with bi-fold doors opening onto the terrace. This is the perfect place to unwind after a day of adventure with your furry chums, catching up on your favourite programmes on the Smart TV or simply enjoying the far-reaching sea views. Gather in the sleek kitchen/diner to rustle up hearty meals for the group, which you can share around the fabulous wooden dining table. There is also a handy utility room on this floor, along with a king-size bedroom with an en-suite shower room. The two remaining bedrooms – a king-size, and an en-suite twin – are upstairs, as well as a contemporary family bathroom. To the front of the property is a decked terrace with exceptional views, where you can dine alfresco in summer months. To the rear you’ll find an enclosed garden with a gravelled patio with a picnic bench and a lawn where Rover and Fido can burn off steam. Private parking is available at the property.
Gwbert-on-Sea is a great base for walkers and their furry sidekicks. The Ceredigion Way, which forms part of the Wales Coast Path, passes through the village and you and the pups can enjoy an exhilarating hike along the clifftop path, being sure to look out for dolphins and seals playing in the waters below. For a day at the seaside, head to Poppit Sands, where you’ll find a section of beach that welcomes four-legged visitors all year. The historic town of Cardigan is 3 miles away and boasts a fine array of independent shops and outdoor markets.
