For dogs and owners who love getting out into the fresh air, this spacious countryside retreat in North Cornwall is a fantastic choice. With space for seven humans and three doggies, it’s ideal for families and groups of friends. The largely dog-friendly Widemouth Bay (3.5 miles) is close by, as is the popular seaside town of Bude (5 miles) also has several dog-friendly beaches.
This reverse-level property has two king-size bedrooms on the ground floor, one with patio doors leading directly to the garden and the other with an additional single bed – ideal for families. Both have en-suite shower rooms. Head upstairs to the bright open-plan living, dining and kitchen area which sits beneath vaulted ceilings, with exposed oak beams. Sink into comfy seating positioned round a wood burner where your pets can snooze after long days outside. There’s a Smart TV for entertainment and large patio doors so you can admire those countryside views. Also on this floor is a third king-size bedroom and a family bathroom. Outside, the enclosed elevated garden combines lawn and patio areas, giving dogs and children space to play while everyone else unwinds. Thanks to the outdoor seating and BBQ, you can also dine alfresco. You’ll have private parking for up to three cars, along with secure storage for bikes and surfboards.
The surrounding area is packed with opportunities for days out with your dog. You can also take your pet on tail-waggingly good walks along the South West Coast Path (3.5 miles), taking in clifftops, wildflowers and panoramic coastal views. Depending on your (and your pets’) energy levels you can follow it along to Crackington Haven, Boscastle and Tintagel (all within 15 miles), providing spectacular walking routes with plenty of sea views along the way. Families will also find the Monster Slip and Slide attraction (2 miles), where dogs on leads are welcome (though not on the slides, sadly…).
