The property was great. Perfect for us as a couple. Located perfectly to explore the Lake District. The property itself was modern interior decoration but kept the cosy cottage feel. Exactly what we were looking for.

This is a gorgeous little holiday let, which has practically everything you need and such a convenient location straight off the M6. It has a luxurious feel and we enjoyed our stay. Be warned though, the place is freezing - dont forget to bring extra blankets. We had the fire on almost the whole time we were there and it still felt cold. There is aRead moren awful breeze from the front door. Pair this with a hot water tank that only lasts a short amount of time, and you end up having a cold shower in a cold house - dramatic! We still enjoyed our stay and would definitely return in warmer months! The parking is a bit of a pain but that's a minor detail. Hide

Very lovely house, ideal for a quick getaway. Property was clean and very modern with gorgeous stone feature walls. Modern interiors (built in TV in bed). This has nothing to do with the property but to get to hiking areas you would have to drive between 45mins- 1 hour so bear in mind when booking if you are planning to hike.

This property was perfect for us! Modern, clean and cosy. Had everything you need & wasn't too far away from everything. Definitely more suitable for young couples just because the stairs are a bit tricky, if you have mobility issues you would definitely struggle. The Bath and Shower were great, however the hot water doesn't last very long so if yoRead moreu want a shower, make it quick and if one of you is having a Bath, the other showering will end up in an ice cold shower. Overall it was a great place to stay though, the Bed with the TV was a great feature. You can't park right outside other than to drop off luggage but we managed to park just opposite, up the road every day beside the park. There's a great Pub just up the road, we arrived late our first night and called ahead for Pizza and Sides to takeaway and it was done in 20 minutes and was very tasty. Would definitely stay again. The property is really well placed to nip over to the lakes and Yorkshire dales. It's very close to the service station, which is really a farm market. Excellent food, coffee and snacks.

Old Pleasant was perfect for us. We had a wonderful time exploring the Lake District and it was truly great to come home to such a cozy, relaxing & modern cottage. The large bathtub and the tv in the bedroom made it feel like a luxurious place, but it still had the cozy English cottage feel. The Inn in town had great food and drinks. Stayed here for 3 nights to switch off from the world for a few days. Perfect little space for the two of us and our two dogs. Great walks on the doorstep, recommend the pizza at the pub nearby and access to walks in the lakes. Enclosed garden for the dogs was great. Cottage had everything we needed and was well done out!
