For a doggie-friendly break in a spacious, beautifully presented home, stay at this three-bedroom cottage in Northrepps, Norfolk. It’s located within a holiday park with plenty of on-site facilities to explore and is surrounded by private scenic woodlands that the dogs will adore sniffing out. And with the gorgeous Overstrand Beach just 1.5 miles away, it’s easy to find some sandy adventures, too (please note, some dog restrictions are in place during summer).

Inside, the cottage has a stylish decor in calming shades of blue and green. Elegant wooden flooring in many of the rooms creates a modern effect. There’s a roomy lounge with dual-aspect windows, a Smart TV, ample seating for humans and a warm rug for canine snoozers – perfect for relaxing evenings after a day in the fresh air. The large kitchen has grey units and a dining area for sociable meals. When it’s time to rest, retire to one of three bedrooms – a king-size, a double bed and a colourful twin. The family bathroom, with a shower over the bath, completes the indoor space. Head outside to make the most of the fully enclosed garden, equipped with furniture so you can dine in the fresh air while your pets chow down on their holiday bones. There is private off-road parking for three cars.

Nearby, take leisurely walks along nearby trails, or explore the charming village of Northrepps (1 mile) where you’ll find a historic church and a traditional pub. Head to Cromer (1.5 miles) to enjoy a stroll along the pretty pier. A little further along the coast, East Runton Beach (3 miles) is completely doggie friendly all year round. Or for a National Trust experience, we recommend Felbrigg Hall (4 miles), where dogs are more than welcome to join you in the woodland, parkland, cafe and shop.

My wife and I, and two dogs, stayed at the Keepers Cottage for the first week in June. On arrival, we were delighted to find the large garden as described, fully enclosed and safe for our two dogs to run around in. The borders were beautifully planted and appeared in good order. We noted the hot tub was nicely tucked away under cover. On enterRead moreing the cottage we found all the rooms to be well appointed and very clean and immaculate. Ample towels and bath robes were supplied. The added touch of a welcoming bottle of Prosecco and milk in the fridge was very thoughtful, as were the packet of chocolate biscuits on the side! The cottage is nicely tucked away but not too far from the club house where you can get meals all day, and a shop where you can obtain the basic essentials if needed, plus a well deserved coffee after a walk in the woods. The cottage met all our needs and more. Forest Park has plenty of woodland walks where our dogs met the local new born lambs and at the end of the Fairy Trail, met the Norfolk pigs! There are also deer to be seen in the woods along with many squirrels to our furry friends delight!! The facilities on site, including the shower block and toilets were in immaculate condition. Full credit to the staff who look after these facilities. All the staff are a credit to Forest Park as they were all very friendly and helpful. Would we return to the Keepers Cottage? Yes, for sure! We enjoyed our stay here with family, including a 2 year old and a dog. Very well equipped, very clean and comfortable and spacious. The garden is enclosed and ideal for children and dogs. The hot tub and Prosecco is an extra treat. Washing up liquid was provided and milk in the fridge on arrival! Lovely local walks including Fairy Trail and just aRead more short drive from Cromer. Staff very friendly and helpful. Would not hesitate to return. Hide

Cottage was lovely and located on a great site. Lots of positives including 3 large bedrooms and fully enclosed garden so perfect for dogs. Unfortunately no indoor swimming pool as advertised which spoilt our holiday!
