Escape with your loved ones to this charming holiday cottage, sitting in a pretty complex of properties in the beautiful village of Burley. Sleeping four people across two bedrooms and welcoming two pups, it''s an ideal hideaway for small families or groups of friends with the dogs in tow. Spend happy days hiking through the ancient woodlands and heathlands of the New Forest National Park, and in the evening, come home to the cottage''s pretty patio to enjoy a BBQ feast together.
Step inside, and after wiping down muddy paws in the hallway, walk through to the welcoming lounge where comfortable seating is arranged around a crackling wood burner and a Smart TV. When stomachs start to rumble, head through to the country-style, open-plan kitchen/diner. The chosen chef will find all the space and equipment needed, including another Smart TV, to comfortably cook up holiday feasts. Dine at the wooden table inside, or step through the nearby garden doors to dine alfresco out on the peaceful patio. When day turns to night, head upstairs and choose from two sumptuous bedrooms, both of which boast TVs for lazy mornings in bed. Both bedrooms offer super-king-size beds that can be converted to twin beds on request - one has an en-suite bathroom, the other an en-suite shower room. There is also one put-up bed for an additional child. Outside, relax in the enclosed garden space, which is lawned to the front and rear. At the rear, use the charcoal BBQ and patio furniture to enjoy memorable, al fresco dinners.
Unleash your inner explorer with your pups on-lead under the towering trees at Blackwater Arboretum (5.5 miles). Discover a variety of conifers planted in the 1850s, including some of the oldest Douglas Firs in Britain. Alternatively, head to Moors Valley Country Park (9 miles) for walkies.
