This welcoming house in the seaside village of Beadnell is perfectly placed for pet lovers after a holiday to share with their four-legged friends. Sleeping six guests and two canine companions, it is ideally placed for families or a group of friends wanting to explore the beautiful Northumberland Heritage Coast. The spacious property is less than a mile from Beadnell’s sheltered expanse of golden sand, a wonderful, year-round playground for pups, children and water sports lovers. Enjoy exhilarating coastal walks with your furry friends before stopping off at one of the numerous dog-friendly village pubs and eateries.
The bright, open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner has wall-to-wall sliding glass doors to the front and back, with garden and rear patio views. Beautifully furnished in contemporary style, the impressive living space comprises comfortable seating before a wood burner set in the huge stone fireplace and a sleek kitchen and dining area. You’ll find a single bedroom with an adjacent shower room on the ground floor, while upstairs are two double bedrooms, a single and a family bathroom. Outside, relax in the front garden, (which is not fully enclosed) on outdoor furniture or in the enclosed rear patio, also with garden furniture. There is private parking for up to three cars.
Take a stroll beside Beadnell’s working harbour and admire the colourful fishing boats. This lovely stretch of coastline leads to the pretty village of Seahouses (2 miles), also with a superb dog-friendly beach. Well-behaved pets are welcome aboard boat trips from Seahouses’s Harbour around the Farne Islands, a wildlife sanctuary off the coast; look out for grey seals and puffins along the way. Magnificent Bamburgh Castle (5.5 miles) dominates the skyline above another glorious beach. While canines are restricted from the castle interior, there’s a warm welcome for pets on short leads to explore the extensive grounds.
