Play endless games of fetch on the superb lawn of this postcard-pretty thatched cottage, or head out for scenic walkies in the Wiltshire countryside. Welcoming and cosy, the property is the perfect place for families or friends to relax and enjoy time together while your canine companions have a ball.

This characterful country cottage will feel just like a home from home for you and your furry friends. When you want to get cosy after a long day outdoors, snuggle up by the wood burner in the lounge, with its low beams and brick floor, or grab a book from the shelves in the library/piano/dining room ready for a quiet evening. The charming kitchen has gorgeous rural views and is equipped with everything you''ll need, including a retro-style fridge/freezer and that all-important coffee machine. There''s also a charming family bathroom on the ground floor. When bedtime beckons, say goodnight to your hounds and head up the cottage-style stairs to the delightful bedrooms, a super-king-size, a double and a single, each of which has areas of low, sloping ceilings and charming decor. Step out onto the patio and enjoy the fresh air and views of fields and woodland, perhaps enjoying a sundowner or an al fresco supper as your mutts run around in the garden and children play on the swings and trampoline.

Set within the picturesque village of Lockeridge, the cottage is just 350 metres from a historic, dog-friendly pub and 0.5 miles from the scenic Lockeridge Dene, where you and your pups can potter about in the sheltered valley with its lichen-covered sarsen stones. Take your besties for another fabulous walk at the impressive and atmospheric Avebury stone circle, 4 miles away.

The far end cottage is a very cosy place with lots of athmosphere. The kitchen is well equiped, the beds comfortable. We much enjoyed our stay. Be aware that the cottage is also very old and drafty. The heating is sub optimal, with no heating in the diner room unless you bring your own wood.

A wonderful stay opposite stunning walks. A really cosy little bolthole close to everything in the local area. We loved it and so did our dog!
