This quirky holiday home is in the charming village of Goodleigh, surrounded by the breathtaking North Devon countryside. Sleeping three guests and one waggy-tailed companion, the property makes the ideal romantic bolthole or base for a small family. North Devon’s glorious coastline is just 10 miles away and Exmoor National Park is within 8 miles of the cottage.

The converted chapel is bursting with character, thanks to magnificent stained-glass windows and ornate panelling. The property also benefits from luxurious creature comforts such as underfloor heating to create cosy dozing spots for the pup. Relax here, after a day of adventure with your canine buddy, to watch a film on the Smart TV or share a delicious, home-cooked meal at the elegant dining table. Completing the ground floor is a single bedroom and a contemporary shower room. Upstairs, a stylish, king-size bedroom awaits, again boasting beautiful, original features. Outside, you and Fido can enjoy an al fresco supper in the enclosed courtyard.

The town also provides direct access to the traffic-free Tarka Trail – the perfect place for a relaxing stroll with the woofer. North Devon is renowned for its spectacular, dog-welcoming beaches, and nearby highlights include Westward Ho! (13 miles) and Saunton Sands (10 miles). Other days out include the picturesque fishing village of Clovelly (23 miles) and the Victorian seaside town of Ilfracombe (15 miles).

In 50 years of travelling to the WestCountry this is the best accommodation we have had. The chapel is beautifully converted and very well equipped. It was comfortable, homely and a real pleasure to stay in. We will be back.

A very well equiped and high standard property. There is a challenge of no parking and as no windows was up to 32 degrees in the bedroom in the hot weather.

This was a lovely property, within an easy reach of lots of North Devon attractions. The property itself had plenty of space for us and the dog, we couldnt have asked for any more. Would stay again and recommend to friends/family. Thank you for a great break away

Whenever we looked out of the door it was either very windy, rainy, drizzly or overcast - our first bad weather holiday week for many years. The Old Chapel is a very comfortable hideaway with plenty of kitchen equipment. We cooked "at home" every evening and enjoyed the wine from the Venn Valley Vineyard in nearby Landkey. There is also a Farm ShopRead more selling local produce and a nice restaurant / bar. Very hilly country surrounds the cottage for us Essex people and some busy roads adjoining footpaths locally. Our dog, Benji, enjoyed all his adventures - loves travelling in the car and walkies particularly to the coast. We are National Trust members so recommend Woolacombe beach and Baggy Point (Croyde Bay) for the dog. We also visited Arlington Court (NT) and Rosemoor (RHS) - the latter trialling dog visitors. The Little Chapel was marvellous. Beautiful conversion, tastefully done, comfortable and exceptionally clean. Property has no opening windows and at was very warm, but fans were provided in every room. No available parking at the property, so park at the school/church up a steep hill opposite. Would be an issue if raining. Overall the property was beautiful with lots of character. Lovely modern well equipped kitchen and bathroom.

The Little Chapel has been amazingly restored to a beautiful standard, fully equipped with everything you need, and warm and cosy. Fizz and chocolates on arrival were a thoughtful touch. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay exploring the surrounding areas. There are no amenities in the village so be prepared.
