We stayed in the cottage over Christmas. Pros - Great location, walking distance to the local shops, 5 different pubs and a great restaurant with good seafood. Also close to Westho beach which the dogs loved. - Upstairs very clean and nice. - Great to have the parking space and garden for the dogs. Cons - The downstairs was very musty, anRead mored we needed to buy air freshener as the smell was too much, especially when you opened kitchen cupboards. So not sure it has been recently rented? - No terrestrial TV stations at all downstairs in the lounge, but luckily, we took and amazon stick and logged in. - No fire irons for the log burner, which is in my opinion quite dangerous. - Overall, the downstairs, needed a lot of updating vs the pictures. The sofas were tired, and the crockery looks as if it came from the 60s and we felt due to the smell we washed it before use. Overall, with an update downstairs its a great place. Hide

We loved the cottage and it was well situated in Appledore. We have a larger car but still managed the parking place and found this such a bonus. Washing machine great! Kitchen well equipped and nice touch to have milk in fridge. Spices , coffee and tea in cupboard just in case you didnt take any but replace if you do use any so that the complimentRead more carries forward. Shop was convenient and had local produce, could be expensive if you relied totally on it. We loved eating at The Royal George but lots to choose from. Music scene brilliant and we played at the open mic at The Champ..very welcoming and friendly. Hide

This is a lovely cottage and amazing well equipped with absolutely everything you would need. There was a bottle of milk, tea and coffee provided when we arrived, and also other basic condiments which is really useful. It is really close to the water front and shops so no need to use the car if you don't want to. There are two little grassed spacesRead more which is nice, especially if you have a dog, and washing facilities and towels are provided for a dog. Be aware that the back steps are very awkward, and also parking at the back can be tricky if you have a very big car. But at least there is a proper parking space off road. Hide

The cottage was of a high spec and very thought out. The beds were exceptionally good for a holiday let. The kitchen was well equipped. The cottage was very close to the village so everything was within walking distance. When we needed to get hold of someone the response was very quick and helpful.
