We had a great time at Ness View - the location is fabulous and the house comfy and clean. The downstairs is lovely, great kitchen diner with the aga keeping it really cosy (there is a separate hob and oven to cook on!). Great to have EV charger access. The WiFi could be better but overall a fab property, location, and holiday.

Excellent location, I was on the beach (more or less across the road) at 0700 every morning with the dog. We walked to Whitby and back on the beach when the tide was out far enough. Note that dogs aren't allowed on the beach some of the year (May-September, I think). Pub and cafes in the village, and a short ride to bigger shops and also many eaterRead moreies in Whitby. Also excellent was the garden, enclosed front with grass and back with patio furniture, so safe for the dog. On site parking was a big plus, although finding it at the rear of the property was not immediately obvious. The house itself was clean and comfortable, with a great kitchen/diner with large fridge and freezer, dishwasher, washer and dryer. Everything was provided, although most the pans were a bit tatty. The living room was comfortable for an evening spent in if desired. The shower was excellent and powerful, with plenty of hot water and nice towels. If a good internet connection is important to you, I should mention that the internet connection here is pretty woeful, slow to load websites and making watching any streaming services on the smart TV a bit of an ordeal. It wasn't a big deal to me, and if you want to get away from it all, it won't be a problem! Overall, a well-kept, clean and comfortable property in an excellent location. Hide

Perfect location , ideal for beach walks and exploring the area. Downstairs has plenty of room to relax and entertain. Best equipped kitchen in a holiday home weve stayed in. Stay let down with uncomfortable beds and no decent blinds in 2 rooms so very light in the morning.

Ness view is a in a great location and is ideal for visiting Sandsend. The location is lovely - you can see the sea from the window, and Whitby is only 5 mins away in the car. Downstairs is lovely, Kitchen area very spacious, and living room cosy. Garden great for the dog. Word of warning though - no fire starter kit is provided, not is there any fire tools or flame resistant glove to manage a lit fire - very unusual Read morefor a holiday home that boasts having a log burning stove. Also, the main bedroom is a double bed NOT a King as advertised, and all three mattresses were very old and soft . Finally, the wifi signal is intermittent, so drops in and out when watching TV. There is also no phone signal so you can't make any calls from within the property - worth knowing this in advance. Even texting is difficult. House is also pretty sparse - could do with some board games, cards, maps of local walks, local tourist business flyers etc. Felt really light in the little touches that make a great holiday home. This house could be excellent if it fixed these issues. Hide
