The sand and shingle beach has areas that welcome woofers all year, and it’s also a great place for fossil hunting or simply sitting back and admiring the views of Whitby Abbey. It’s possible to walk 3 miles along the beach to Whitby, where you’ll find an excellent array of paw-friendly eateries dotted amongst its historic cobbled streets. Heading inland, you’ll soon reach the North York Moors, with its network of remote tracks and trails to sniff and scamper along.
