The cottage is perfect for a couple as its not very big but just enough space to feel cozy. The stay was perfected by the wildlife we encountered (grouse, hares, chickens, deer and robins). Do be aware that it attracts a lot of ladybugs due to the heat. It wasnt too great a deal for us but if youre not too keen on bugs, its worth considerinRead moreg this point. Hide

Lovely and cosy cottage. The bed is extremely comfortable. It takes patience and practice to get the hot tub to the right temperature which may not be for everyone.

We booked Deer Larder for our 5th Wedding Anniversary. We really loved our stay and managed to fully unwind and recharge our batteries. The peaceful rural setting, the comfy furnishings and the woodfired hot tub all made it extra special. What a place. Simple, clean, tidy, new and nice. Let's be honest, you are only reading this as you are keen to see what others say! Quiet, isolate, middle of nowhere feeling. The night sky is awesome. Best recommendation is to have a late night hot tub whilst staring at the amazing knight sky. Stars, satellites and shooting stars. We would definiteRead morely visit again. Beautiful cottage perfect for a summer get away. The cottage is on the expensive side but the views are worth it! Although location is lovely its a good drive to reach any civilisation which for us was fine but if you want to explore the Jurassic coast its a good hours drive.

This accommodation is stunning and the grounds equally so. Everything had been thought about in terms of convenience and comfort. I have already recommended to work colleagues. This did not disappoint and I hope to come back again, next time I would be keen to try a winter weekend, as its so cozy.

Really cosy cottage but could do with some more lighting/lamps. We moved a lamp down from the bedroom which did improve things but a standard lamp would have been great to make reading easier when on the sofas.
