A golden beach within half a mile and glorious coastal walks on the doorstep make this appealing property an excellent base for exploring the beautiful Llyn Peninsula. The detached, contemporary house in the lively village of Abersoch is ideal for families or groups of friends. Sleeping six guests, along with two canine companions, it’s a short walk along the harbour to dog-friendly eateries and pubs. Abersoch’s gently shelving beach, with safe swimming, is a perennial family favourite, and a top spot for water sports, from paddleboarding to sailing.
The stylish interior features soft, neutral tones, with a bright, open-plan living space comprising a sleek kitchen/diner and airy lounge housing sumptuous sofas. Sliding glass doors open onto a large, decked terrace. Also on the ground floor is an elegant king-size bedroom and a separate shower room. Upstairs are two further bedrooms; an inviting king-size with an en-suite bathroom and a pretty twin bedroom. Outside, the decking, with garden furniture and a BBQ, plus a large, enclosed lawn, offers ample room for people and pets.
While part of Abersoch Beach is a dog-free zone in the high season, tail-waggers can run free all year round on the rest of this wide expanse of sand. Water sports beginners can hire or buy equipment in village shops, while seasoned surf dudes will head for the splendid surfing beach of Porth Neigwl, also known as Hell’s Mouth, just 4 miles away. Enjoy wonderful walks with your four-legged friends along the glorious Llyn Coastal Path (2 miles), with magnificent views towards the mountains of Snowdonia. Abersoch Golf Club is within half a mile and fishing trips run from Pwllheli (7 miles). A must-see is the National Trust’s Plas yn Rhiw (6.5miles), a fine 17th-century house set in beautiful gardens.
