This spacious and characterful lodge is set on a working farm and boasts stunning countryside views. Inside, a bright and airy space welcomes you with vaulted ceilings and exposed beams throughout. The lovely lounge area has comfortable seating, a large TV, and a warming wood burner. The owners have also provided a selection of board games and books so you can relax while sleeping dogs lie. A practical kitchen has everything you need for rustling up delicious dinners, and a dining table is also provided. Completing the interior of the property is a king-size bedroom with a TV and a stylish en-suite shower room. Outside is a delightful garden which is fully enclosed and contains seating on a patio, and a large lawn space. Enjoy evenings dining alfresco or sipping on a sundowner as the dogs safely explore.

Situated on the Offa’s Dyke Footpath, you can head off on foot and paw and pass scenic countryside views on your walk to the bustling market town of Monmouth (4 miles) where you will find an abundance of shops, dog-friendly pubs, and eateries. Set tails wagging in the Brecon Beacons National Park, accessed via the ‘Gateway to the Brecon’s’, Abergavenny (13 miles). Climb the imposing Skirrid mountain (15 miles) or wind through the picturesque waterside routes in the Usk Valley.

The cottage was comfortable and well equipped. The owner greeted us on arrival and explained everything we needed to know. The location was very quiet and gave easy access to walking in the open countryside and nearby woodland.

The property was lovely. The enclosed garden was fantastic for the dog and for us to sit out as we had fabulous weather.
