This charming holiday home is in the quaint Yorkshire Dales hamlet of Hardraw. The former schoolhouse sleeps six guests and four furry companions, making it the ideal base for large families and groups of friends. Surrounded by the stunning landscape of Upper Wensleydale, the area is a haven for walkers. The long-distance Pennine Way also passes nearby. For a spot of retail therapy, the market town of Hawes is just 1.5 miles away.
After a day in the Dales, return to your cosy cottage, which has a beautiful blend of characterful original features and contemporary furniture and styling. Kick off muddy boots in the hallway and hang up the dog leads, before heading through to the welcoming lounge, featuring an original, ornamental fireplace and an array of comfortable seating set around a Smart TV. The sociable kitchen/diner has ample space for the hounds to set up camp, as well as a farmhouse-style table and everything needed to whip up hearty meals for the group. Completing the ground floor are two super-king-size bedrooms with en-suite shower rooms. The remaining bedroom, again with its own en-suite shower room, is upstairs. To the rear of the cottage is an enclosed, lawned garden where your furry chums can play whilst you fire up the BBQ on the patio and enjoy an evening of al fresco entertaining. At the front of the property, you''ll find a small patio area - the perfect place for a morning coffee in the sunshine.
A stay in Hardraw isn''t complete without a visit to the stunning Hardraw Force - the highest single-drop waterfall in England. The waterfall is in the grounds of the village inn, just 100 metres from the cottage. Head into Hawes to potter amongst its stone houses and cobbled streets, popping in and out of the independent shops and galleries. The town is also home to the famous Wensleydale Creamery. If you and the hounds fancy a challenge, you can take on the Yorkshire Three Peaks (all within 25 miles of the cottage).
