This rural retreat in the village of West Farleigh is surrounded by the beautiful Kent countryside. Sleeping four guests and one waggy-tailed chum, it''s the ideal base for both couples and small families who enjoy getting out and about in nature. There are some fabulous walks to explore directly from your front door, along quiet country lanes or following the banks of the River Medway. In the evenings, share family BBQs in the enclosed garden.

The former farm building has been cleverly converted into a chic holiday home, effortlessly blending contemporary style with rustic original features. The main living space is an open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner with characterful exposed beams and brickwork. Prepare home-cooked feasts in the sleek kitchen area and gather for memorable mealtimes around the gorgeous glass dining table. After dinner, watch a film on the Smart TV or read a book as Fido dozes at your feet. The two inviting bedrooms feature statement wallpapers and striking original features. One of the bedrooms has an en-suite shower room, and there is also a contemporary family bathroom. Outside, the enclosed garden has a patio and BBQ for al fresco dining and a lawn area where the hound can stretch their legs.

Maidstone (4.5 miles) is the county town of Kent and has a great range of independent shops and eateries. Just outside the town is the beautiful Teston Bridge Country Park, where you and your four-pawed pal can enjoy riverside strolls and picturesque picnics in the meadow. To soak up the local history, journey to the Kent Life Museum (6.5 miles). Here, you and your hairy sidekick can wander amongst the oast houses and historic buildings, learning all about Kent''s rural past.

A comfortable place to stay with good amenities. Biscuits and wine on arrival a lovely touch .Alex is only a message away if you require anything .A good place to go walking from.

Wonderful place to stay, we went for work and pleasure, the wifi was great and meant I could be connected easily. The pubs close by were great and the locals made us feel really welcome! The house had everything we needed, it was warm and cosy. Nice outside space for our dog who felt really at home. Alex was a great host and kept in touch. LoveRead morely welcome with Prosecco and jam and biscuits! Use of the laundry room and you can get fresh produce when you needed it. Was 1 hour drive to London when I needed to work , which felt really easy. Will definitely go back. Hide
