The stylish, three-storey barn conversion has been quirkily decorated and furnished, with colourful paintwork and an eclectic mix of seaside-themed accessories. On the ground floor, you’ll find two contemporary bedrooms and a family bathroom, as well as an additional day bed that can be used with your own linen. Heading upstairs, discover the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, where you can rustle up delicious feasts for the group and share family mealtimes at the wooden dining table. After dinner, relax on the sofa to watch the Smart TV with the pups curled at your feet. Completing this floor is a handy shower room. On the third floor, there’s a second lounge, along with the remaining bedroom. Outside, Rover and Fido can play in the enclosed garden, which is laid with artificial turf. You’ll also have access to a shared paddock and at the first floor level, there’s a decked seating area for al fresco dining.
The beach at Mawgan Porth is wide and sandy, sheltered by the high cliffs on either side. The beach is family friendly, with shallow water and rock pools to explore, and four-pawed visitors are welcome all year. The South West Coast Path passes through Mawgan Porth, and you can follow it to the dramatic beauty spot of Bedruthan Steps. Heading inland, you’ll find pretty riverside and woodland paths to sniff and explore. From the cottage, it’s easy to enjoy day trips to Padstow (9 miles) and Newquay (5 miles).
