This coastal getaway enjoys fabulous views across the harbour at Saundersfoot. The property sleeps six guests and one hairy hound, and makes a great base for family and friends seeking a traditional seaside getaway. Dramatic coast paths branch away from the village, including to Tenby (3 miles), and nearby paw-friendly attractions include Colby Woodland Garden and Heatherton World of Activities (both 4 miles).
A few steps lead to this seaside bolthole. Inside, leave sandy shoes in the hallway, before heading through to the kitchen to rustle up a hearty meal after a long dog walk. The separate dining room has a large, wooden dining table for sharing mealtimes together, as you watch the boats bobbing outside the window. After an action-packed day, unwind in the inviting lounge, where comfortable seating is carefully positioned to make the most of the view. There is also a Smart TV here for enjoying movie nights together. Upstairs, you’ll find two relaxing bedrooms, one of which has doors leading to a small balcony with a table and chairs – a lovely spot for a sundowner. A family bathroom completes this level, with the remaining bedroom located on the top floor. Outside, you and the pups can bask in the sunshine on the front or rear patio, enjoying the sounds of the seaside.
Stroll out of your front door and into the hustle and bustle of the harbour, where your canine buddy is sure to find plenty of new stiffs to investigate. Afterwards, head to one of the village’s renowned, woof-welcoming eateries to sample the delicious seafood and other local delicacies. The sandy beach at Saundersfoot has a paw-friendly section all year at its northern end. Alternatively, take the short, 0.5-mile walk to the beach at Wiseman’s Bridge, where waggy-tailed visitors are welcome all year.
