Enjoy a luxurious escape to the seaside with your favourite humans and hound in this spectacular retreat in the unspoilt seaside village of Downderry. The property offers direct access to a woof-welcoming beach and is perfectly placed for walkies along the dramatic South West Coast Path. Nearby day trips include the fishing town of Looe (6 miles) and the picture-postcard harbour at Polperro (11 miles).
The beachside bolthole has been decorated and furnished to an exceptional standard and boasts panoramic sea views from its floor-to-ceiling windows. Natural materials and beach-themed accessories all act as a reminder of your fantastic location on the Cornish coast. The living space is a bright, open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner where you can whip up hearty meals to share at the sleek breakfast bar or around the formal dining table. There’s an array of comfortable seating dotted throughout the space, as well as a cosy lounge area with a huge sofa and a Smart TV. With hard floors and direct access to the enclosed, outdoor area, this open-plan space is the perfect spot to set up the dog bed. The three stylish bedrooms, 2 super kings and 1 twin, are also on this level, all with their own Smart TV and en-suite facilities. Bi-fold doors from the living space lead out onto an enclosed, decked area with far-reaching sea views and outdoor furniture. Dine alfresco here, as Rover potters around on the lawn below, or wander out to the second terrace to soak up some rays on the sun loungers. Heading downstairs, you’ll find a fabulous entertainment room with a multi-games table, Smart TV, PlayStation, and comfortable sofas.
The sand and shingle beach at Downderry can be accessed directly from the garden, and welcomes canine visitors all year. The beach is quiet and secluded, rarely getting crowded even in the height of summer. At low tide, you and the pup can amble along the shoreline for 1 mile to Seaton. This coastal village has a friendly, woof-welcoming pub and several cute cafes. There are also some lovely riverside and woodland trails to sniff and explore within the village, along with the wildlife haven of Seaton Valley Country Park.
